I wish this game was Friday night. I’m just a traditionalist. I know Graham’s coaches will have them prepared. They work hard in practice. They need to be super focused on the task at hand though. Gate City will come to play and they are well coached too. The GMen are getting better with penalities. I think the one personal foul Thursday was a late hit but we you’re barreling full speed, it’s sometimes hard to stop on a dime. At least we’re not getting huge penalty yardage like a few games this year. The defense is tough and offense has many options to get the other team guessing. The line play is strong on offense & defense although I think defense line play is better overall. I honestly didn’t see Graham making a deep run after the first couple games but they have evolved into a very tough opponent. I give the coaches a lot of credit for that and the players for working so hard. I think they win if they come in focused, limit turnovers, & limit unnecessary penalties. Go GMen!!!!

Gate City won’t be a cake walk but flashbacks to last year’s game with Union & ending up with a crippled QB, I wasn’t looking forward to playing them, it’s always so physical and both teams get banged up, lol. Union is just tough. I expect Gate City will come to “Mitchell” to play hard too unless they show up at Ernie Hicks and no one is there. 😂😂😂

Who knows? They don’t consult the coaching staff about game day as far as I know. Maybe ask the AD or principal. Well, at least they didn’t about the Central game.

He’s tough! He can get away from defenders and he can sling that ball well. Lee gives him time to throw to Poku, it might be a long game for Lee. Their defensive line is not that strong but Jones can light up the offensive side of the ball.

How about take only 6 & 1 and 2 get bye round 1 or if you take 8 reseed bracket after each round. For example, if only 1,2, 4 & 6 make it. Reseed so 1 plays 6 & 2 plays 4 if that makes sense. I don’t really know if that works or helps. I really don’t think Graham or Union care to play each other next week. Neither shy away from tough competition. As a fan, yeah, I’d rather play Virginia High again as opposed to a Union, lol. No disrespect intended, lol. I just hope neither team has players injured when we play. It’s a hard row to hoe when key players get injured in the playoffs. I want whomever wins D to take out C whether it’s Graham, Union, etc.

I really think Meadows is doing well and we know Shockley can step in if needed. I honestly think the Roberts kid is going to be way better than either. That kid is a natural. I can’t wait to see him take over next year at QB.

I think Meadows is doing fine considering he’s coming off an injury.
