Well, I wouldn’t say that. Graham played their worst game yet. No excuse for last night! I can’t speak to the other games or teams that played last night.

Agree with sentiments above. Not the finest game for either, both have to better if they want to make a playoff run. Worst game Graham has probably played, undisciplined, both teams. Both coaches should be embarrassed & fix that crap this week in practice once & for all. Both teams are better than they performed tonight. If they meet again, I hope it’s a quality game with exceptional sportsmanship. To the two Union fans (teenagers) parading through the visitors side bleachers yelling “Graham sucks” the entire 2nd half, do your team a favor & stay home next time. Good grief. What a night!

Graham couldn’t tackle worth crap tonight. All fundamentals went out the window. They let Union dictate their (Graham’s) game instead of Graham playing their own game. if Union has a player that can pass which y’all said you do, tonight would have been a great time to get him in there. What’s the deal with the big screen on the sideline?

I wish Union’s announcer was louder. Maybe it’s the PA, I don’t know. It’s like a whisper & not very exuberant.

Advantage Union tonight! Tazewell Co. couldn’t even get two buses to transport the team. I guess the crammed them all on one bus I heard. We need connections to get a charter or maybe a few Ubers 😂. Pathetic! @Union_Fan probably 90-0 now. 😂

If so, I honestly won’t miss the incessant blowing of the horn. Turner fired? Turner is a good coach and consistently produces good teams and wins games. Why else does everyone dread playing Union? If a coach is doing something detrimental to the program or some egregious act as coach, okay maybe a petition but a petition to get Turner fired seems a bit extreme to me but I’m also an outsider looking in .

You’re obviously never had the pleasure of watching a game in person at Bullit Park recently. 😂

Well y’all more than made up for not having one then 😂. It’s like a kid with a new toy for the entire game 😂. Bullit Park is a great atmosphere for high school football though.

I saw a FB post that Bland had canceled the remainder of their season due to insufficient numbers so I guess @FootballFan67 heard correctly. Dang, shame!

Hopefully, it’s not true or a miscommunication and players return to the team. If true, sad for the seniors. Maybe the ones that still want to play can get a waiver to play in a neighboring county. Someone mentioned a waiver for TV players, possibly Bland players could get one too.

I hope the Spartans & Green Wave can come together in perfect harmony in 2023 or 2024 😂 Correct me if I’m wrong, they didn’t vote to consolidate by only to discuss it, right? If so, it could be years. I think Bland County talked about it in the 70s & didn’t do it until like 2013 or 2014. We could be looking at 2050 before we see the Giles County Red Wave or Giles County Green Spartans. Until then, carry on friends, may the team that shows up to play Friday night, win! 😂

Gate City back in the day. Fort Chiswell I agree. Narrows, I haven’t been recently but I can remember some pretty bad behavior. EC Glass not fans but some of the coaches were making comments that were derogatory towards our players.

Union is very capable of beating Graham but that’s a different thread.

I’m not sure how many scholarships are awarded in band 😂😂😂😂 but I know for a fact the football team doesn’t run over their band members nor do I expect them to plow down members of Union’s band not that any other Tazewell County team would ever do such a thing 😂😂😂😂.

Dr. Carl Hess, very impressive resumè. He's originally from SWVA, a graduate of Graham. Most recently, director of the Moravian College Marching Band.

I drove by too & it appeared cross country was also practicing along with band. The football team was out too but there was a break in the rain. They probably watched film first. I'm sure the coaches aren't taking this game lightly.

Why not a Region D All-Star against Region C All-Star? That would be some great talent.

Last I heard, he was out due to same ankle he hurt before but that's about 3rd hand information.

Oh, I think we remember how well Satterfield can play. Spring 2021 is not that far removed. I still have flashbacks of that last play. 😂
