Don't think anyone from Richlands has any respect for you either, that's why we pull for two teams each week; Richlands and the team that is playing Graham.

He cut my hair for years also, but I don't think that is him, I could be wrong, and if I am apologize, (been wrong before) , but if it is him, I can assure you that he was not spying on Union. Look at it this way, he is a great guy, but if you were having someone spy on the opposing team, wouldn't you want someone with a lot more football knowledge than a local barber who takes pictures on the side, come on it just don't make sense. Most press people move around from side to side to get the best view of the filed, and maybe that's what he was doing, but if you think he was spying, to what avail, Union won. I can not account for his actions at that game, but I can say in my opinion you have nothing to worry about, he may be a photographer, but he is no spy.

I may not be the right one to answer all the questions, but I can answer the 1st one without a second thought. Union has the best "O" & "D" line without doubt.

Yes it is a visor in the Tazewell Pic, and by golly it is a visor in the Union pic, but the Union pick shows his hair at a longer length, which the barber does not have, its not the same guy in both pictures. The guy in the Tazewell pic, never wears a trench coat at the games, that guy is the barber not a spy. Think he has someone kin to him on the Richlands team, and is a great supporter of Richlands, been a lifetime fan.

Keeps us tied to young age, and lifts our spirits on Friday nights at the end of a long work week. Good to see all our old friends and make new ones. Just love to watch good competition because we're to old to do it anymore.

Not the same guy. Think this guy is from some local paper. I've seen him at a couple of Richlands games on both sidelines, but its not the barber. I've seen the barber at the same games but not on the sidelines. Nothing wrong with taking pictures, but if he was trying to take a pic of the play sheet of Union's coach, he shouldn't be allowed to attend at any future sporting event of any team. JMO Just wanted to add, the barber always wears a visor not a full hat, he likes to show off his full head of hair.

I'm not sure, but I have been told that if a student lives in the same county and chooses to switch schools, its okay as long as they have transportation to and from school. Can anyone tell me if that is correct.

Hate to hear that. Everyone should be proud of the home town team. Hope they find everyone responsible and make them clean the stadium after this weeks game, especially the bathrooms.

No so in Virginia. If player moves in with divorced parent, grandparents, or aunts & uncles or has permission from parents to live with someone in another county and establishes residence the semester before the school year begins, then it is okay. Now if the whole family moves, then the player doesn't have to prove residence the semester before the following school year. I for one do not like all these transfers, unless it is a whole family move. I think you play with the players who have come up through the feeder system and have put in the time and effort. To often the transfers, even though they may be more talented, take away playing time for the player who has put in all the time for the home town team.

For your info, I'm probably old enough to be your grandfather. I graduated in Richlands in 72, UK in 76, and have attended high school football games for over 50yrs. How long have you been a fan? Oh, by the way, explain to me what you viewed wrong with what I posted.

It has been great watching JM over the years, a little heart wrenching at times, but I wish him the best and hope to see him at VT so for once he will be on my team. Hats off to all the Union players, coaches, and fans, go get that State Title.

Total non-sense. Why would Richlands or Union need anyone to spy for them, they both know each other so well, could have been someone from Graham, their drum line wears trench coats.

So if you to kill the thread, why keep it going. Go back and read all my post, I have never said or made any acknowledgement that Richlands is the only school with D1 prospects, I'm not stupid, but id you will check your stats, Marshall is one good sound program.

Devon Johnson comes to mind, but I didn't say all the transfers came to Richlands to receive a D1 scholarship, but TO BE SEEN ON A HIGHER level, and as for killing this talk about transfers, its not Richlands fans that keep bringing up the subject. Maybe you should check your facts before asking a Richlands fan not to post on a subject about our team that someone else keeps bringing up. If you don't want us to comment, then don't bring it up.

I hope you are a God fearing person, and I hope this post was your way of trying to be funny, but for Mance to say it is in God's hands show's his reliance on the one who created the universe, and for you to make light of that shows pure ignorance on your part. I respect everyone on this board, but if you are making fun of God being in control, I have no respect for that, and I will pray that you had no intention for your post to turn out that way, but that is how I perceived the wording. This has always been a good place for all of us to have a little fun and post our opinions, but making fun of God almighty is going a bit to far, so please tell me that was not your intentions.

Very good game, great atmosphere, good sportsmanship on both sides, good and true fans on both sides. This game was as good as it gets, like watching a state final, not a 1 vs 8 by any means. Go easy on the transfers. Richlands has been going to state finals and semi-finals for a long time and the players who transfer do so to increase their chances of being seen on the highest level. Nothing illegal about that, and it Mance and company or Union, or anyone else for that matter is doing anything wrong, the I'm sure the heads of state at VHSL would be on their back right away. Richlands had one player who transferred to Bluefield and played quarterback, his father was a basketball coach at Richlands, so don't get your panties in a wad about the transfers, everyone does it. This final game of Richlands season should have proved that Mance and company can play with anyone even in a down year. So watch your words, the future will eat you up when your team plays Richlands. Hats off to Union, they did what they had to do to win a very tough and hard fought game, wish them well the rest of their season, and know that we will meet again in the not so far off future.

Total respect to Mitchel and Union, but he is no Basham, and Union is not William Byrd. You could be right, but Richlands has one heck of a defense, and although Union has a great O line it doesn't even come close to the O line of William Byrd. It will be a test of heart tonight.
