King William County Schools were closed due to "lack of coverage in our buildings and classrooms" - because of the flu outbreak. The game between KW and Greensville is still on - "providing we have adult supervision" according to Superintendent David White. Flu is hitting a lot of schools hard. Hope it doesn't be the deciding factor in games the next few weeks.

I can see a 35 -13 type of score in this one. I think it'll be more like 42-13, myself.

With Pennix out, I would tend to favor Radford in this matchup. Radford has speed on top of speed, but the lineplay is questionable. I think Radford gets enough big plays to win it. 34-27

Didn't read too much into what I said. Just think the coaches they have, have that team going in the right direction.

I know this is sort of a sidetrack to the upcoming game, but Graham looks like they will be in the mix for the next several years, if the coaching staff remains in place. They should be very good next season and they have some athletes coming up from middle school. With the strength and conditioning program turning out strong, well conditioned kids, they have that program set up for success for a while to come.

I'll be there all the way to Salem, if they make it that far. When Richlands was making their runs, I was in the stands supporting them also.

I think Graham fans breathed a sigh of relief that they don't have to face Union.

I think Graham has evolved this season pretty good. The defense is playing really well right now. Offensiely, they can spread you out and pick you apart with short passes. They can run the ball out of the spread. They can bring in the big boys and line up in a tight formation and run over top of you in short yardage situations. They have backs that can run around you, backs that can run over top of you and they have guys that can make plays after the catch at receivers. The linebackers are solid and db's have speed and an eye for the ball. They played a pretty physical game against Central, they were really delivering some punishing blows on offense and defense. Gate City has been somewhat of a mystery, playing well one week and not so well the next. After watching them, I just don't think they have the speed to keep up with Graham. They will have to capitalize on their possessions to have a chance and with Graham's defense playing the way they are lately, I just don't see it happening. Graham needs to continue to work on cutting down the penalties and execution. They are improving in that area as well. I won't predict a score, but will say that Graham should win, if they stay focused.

Yes. Anything can happen on any given night. G-men need to be focused the rest of the way. They need to focus on the team that's in front of them each week. Because it will get harder each week from this point on.
