If you're referring to BigTom, he isn't a Union poster. And I don't know who else you could be referencing since all but one or 2 of us have already said that Graham is the better team and will probably win.

    Correct I am from Wise

Honestly no. Went to the Abingdon game and RV did not impress me none. that was first game that they have been tested by all season and there next will be this week with richlands, I put those 2 on the same level.

Well Ridgeview spanked us twice this year and Honestly Graham hasn't really played anyone with the exception of Bluefield and Richlands though the Richlands game was under different circumstances.  Lets see beat a 2-8 Tazwell team, 5-6 Giles team, beat us 44-10, A 1-9 Princeton team, 2-8 Lebanon, 5-6 VA High team, Then Richlands quality win, 5-6 Ft Chiswell, 4-6 Marion   35/60 record so NO YOU ALL HAVENT REALLY PLAYED ANYONE not to down any program listed but just trying to show everyone that they haven't played a strong schedule as Guest Graham WVU would have everyone think

you must be a lot older than I am, because even as a kid, I remember seeing fights and rough, sometimes dirty plays. Kids didn't showboat as much but back then I'd argue the game was even more violent.

That's what I was saying,  If we got hit and didn't fight back then we wouldn't wanna go home cause we knew what was coming.  Yes the game has changed so much.  I hardly hear pads pop anymore.  I played in the mid 60's

Ah gotcha. My apologies. But it does sound like tempers need to be calmed down on the ridge.

I cant speak on that as a whole with Ridgeview because I am not around like I am at Central. But it does seem that the game has changes so much since I played LOL.  Back in the day we policed ourselves to make sure a lot of whats going on didn't happen..  Or if it did we wouldn't wanna go home to face Mom or Dad because we wouldn't be able to sit for a week from the whippings.

They have always been run heavy for the most part. Just changed up formations and scheme to accommodate smaller, faster players.

Sometimes a misfourtune can turn into a blessing.  Mullins is going to be a special QB not taking anything away from McAmmis as he is a great athelete and even better person.  We have some great skill people and its great to get them in game and not rely on one or 2 kids.

I read a tweet from Havok last week that Sproiles got ejected, but he actually didn’t. But this week he actually did. I saw video on the helmet incident somewhere, not sure where I saw it. Sounds like it was coming eventually. Football is emotional, but you gotta stay within the rules.

Havok said Adkins not Sproles but I do agree that you must stay within the rules and YES THAT DOES INCLUDE SPROLES.

Who's pretending? Nobody tried to misrepresent who they were or their ages. Also, nobody said anything about any 7th and 8th grade teams. And really if you want to be technical, only one of the hold backs has a true age advantage, but that doesn't even translate into a size advantage for him. Let's say they are all sophomore age just to appease you. So? Does that mean they are not a young team anymore? Nope. 4 freshman hold backs with the other freshmen mixed in plus 2 sophomore hold backs is not an advantage, and it doesn't change anything that I have stated. Let's also not "pretend" that any other team that Central has played this year does not have some varied ages. So what's your point?

Again, I said I don't have an issue with the holdbacks.  I think in certain situations it is a great thing for a kid to hold back due to maturity ect:  I don't however agree with holding a meeting with 8th grade parents and trying to convince them to hold back the whole lot of them as the majority it is not a good thing.  If a kid is ok with grades and maturity then no reason to hold them back.  After all as coaches they should be teaching young men to become productive adults and look out for the best interest for the kids.  Obviously we will just have to agree to disagree and again I have no ill will toward you or anyone on this board.  Just stating my oppinions like everyone else is.

We were talking about Sproles and his history of unsportsmanlike play. Never once did I mention any Central kid not being guilty of anything.

You have picked 2 of my posts today and tried to pick a fight. You say you're from Wise and you know I am. What's your problem?

And the player I am speaking of from Central has the same history.  Yes I am from Wise and have a grandchild playing at Central.  I have no issue at all with you or anyone on this board.  Just saying tell the whole story.

  11. 1 hour ago, Bluefield researcher said:

If true the two events are not connected and what you speak of is irrelevant.

Not irrelevant because Jonah58 brought Sproles in the Central game into the convo which opened up a whole different story.  All I was saying is he is trying to make a certain player look like he is the ONLY one guilty when in fact every team has the same issue.

3 seniors that play. Maybe 5 left on the team.

We start 5 freshmen and 2 sophomores on defense, 4 freshmen and 2 sophomores on offense. Only 4 juniors currently on the team, and they all play.

Come on guys, Lets not pretend anymore about Central.  These dang freshmen by all accounts should be sophomores.  4 or 5 are holdbacks.  Now I have nothing against holdbacks and I am from Wise, but that Great 7th and 8th grade team they had were really 9th graders playing down.  The biggest problem I see right now with Central is not the skill position but rather the line play on both sides of the ball.  I don't see any linemen in the future.  The Mnt 7 is a tough place to play without good linemen week in and week out

In our game on the second play we hit a big pass (which got called back for holding) and Sproles ripped the helmet off of our reciever and slung it 15 yards down the sideline. Ironically, and amazingly, no penalty was called on that play, but he did later on have an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for jawing and shoving. I like the kid but this stuff some times gets out of hand. I'm not saying he did or didn't do it, but I wouldn't be shocked if he did.

If I remember correctly that game also featured a Central player who tried to spear (head to head) Adkins after he was tackled but missed and looked stupid.  He got called for it.  So don't speak only half truth and leave stuff out.

I'm a Ridgeview guy obviously.  Chilhowie and Ridgeview played to a 17-17 deadlock with starters in the game.  That seems pretty even to me.

And AGAIN read the whole thing.  Both teams only ran about 3 plays.  No way to know in a benefit game. And im NOT a Ridgeview guy.  Just too much difference between strength of schedule of my top 6 compared to Chilhowie

  15. Just now, BigWinners said:

    Fair enough

But I do agree that Chilhowie is VERY VERY good and truly hope they bring home state championship.  Abingdon is  very well coached and very strong and i believere return alot next year and should be very good.  I wish we has Amburgey back home lol

Doesn't explain how a team can lose head to head and be ranked higher. Not to mention there's a decent chance Chilhowie beats every team aside from Bluefield, Pulaski and Graham. RV scrimmag ed them and it was basically even.

Its overall records im going by. And Chilhowie/ridgeview wasnt basically even as 2nd strings were in basically whole 2nd half and both teams only ran like 3 plays.  Again this is my opinion and you have yours. Doesn't mean im right or your right.
