  1. Gate City holds Central, forces a punt, return by Mack brought back to the Central 30 and Central commits a facemask on the tackle. GC will have the ball 1st and 10 from the Central 25.
  2. Gate City turnsover, controversial call where Calhoun may have been down at the 1 yd line, but they call it fumble and the ball goes into the endzone. Central gets ball at their own 20 yd line after GC down 28-14 and a chance to get within a touchdown.
  3. Shocker Alert Regardless of how many injuries Radford has. Floyd 14, Radford 0, early 3rd qtr.
  4. Late 2nd Qtr Pikeville 40, Ridgeview 21. Ridgeview with absolutely no answer for Pikeville's wide open offense.
  5. Running Clock Begins. Graham 44, Fort Chiswell 0, about 3 minutes left in the first half.
  6. Graham 37, Ft. Chis 0, 2nd qtr, 7 minutes left until halftime
  7. Graham 30, FC 0, 11 minutes left in 2nd qtr
  8. About 1 minute left in 1st qtr, Graham up 27-0 over Ft. Chis.
  9. Clock will be running probably soon as Graham will have a 40 point lead shortly. Graham up 20-0 with 6 minutes left in the 1st qtr.
  10. Graham up 13-0 over Ft Chiswell, 1st qtr
  11. Abingdon will not be a tough out for the Bears in my opinion. It will be a 3 TD win for Union. Maybe more. Abingdon has been shi*kicked by Pulaski, Richland's, and Ridgeview, the three good teams on their schedule. They didn't get beat. They got blasted. They are not a good team, period. No offense Abingdon. I still say the jury is out on Reed. I know some have said the Falcons have had major injuries and I respect and understand that, but I still smell a difference with Reed gone, which is exactly opposite to what some in the spin machine we're putting out when he left. Abingdon has NOT been the same team or program on the field since he left. Coincedence with injuries? Maybe, maybe so, but I suspect it might be the other way. I'm not sold Abingdon would have beat Richland's, Ridgeview and Union without the injuries. The margins of victories have not been exactly close. They have been absolute beat downs. Union 37, Abingdon 10, no contest in this game.
  12. As you mentioned Gridiron, great credit to Tony and his staff offensively. They had Richlands guessing defensively and Tony continued to force the issue. The issue or advantage Graham thought they might have was Richlands difficulty covering Graham's speedy receivers. Even with Devin out, Tony continued to spread Richlands out and he still put the ball in the air forcing Richlands to cover. It was a perfect time for Graham's OL to grow up a bunch. Booker ran hard and he also had some big holes and got a great starting push from our OL.
  13. Close.and tough to tell, but it echoed the theme of the game, another 50/50 call that went in favor of Richlands. I have no problem with a missed call or simply a bad call. I have an issue when one team is getting and overwhelming or lob sided portion of what could be considered 50/50 calls. When that happens, it's almost always a crew that is caught up in the moment, caught in the emotion of the game be it the atmosphere, noise, environment, etc. We see it some in baskeball arenas with teams playing at home. It's not intentional, but it does happen. It happened last night as far as I'm concerned, and when it does, I will also say so and defend my boys. What Graham did was remarkable. They played without a state POY candidate, on the road, against a team treating this game like it was their Superbowl, and was on the short end of almost all of the 50/50 calls, had 2 TDs called back and in the end, blew Richlands out 37-10. That's remarkable to me.
  14. Shifting the goal posts a bit? After you called me a liar after simply pointing out that Ron Brown said he did not think it was intentional on the air, you blew a gasket and lost your cool a little bit. Probably out of anger at the beat down that was occuring. Anyway, whether or not Richlands "hires officials," has no relevance to whether it was a good call or bad one. Because Richlands does Not hire officials, lol, does not mean the kid should have been ejected. It was a horrible call to eject him. A 50/50 call that could go either way on the field and likely the right call for sure for a personal Foul, but to eject him in that moment? A horrific call by the officials that let EMOTION, emotion of the game and Richlands coaches cloud objectivity. The officials last night often let the emotion of the game cloud judgement. We can certainly say this if you disagree with the above......Graham certainly didn't benefit from calls.
  15. Playing at GC with a chance to get to 5-5? No shocker whatsoever if GC wins. If an underdog, not by much.
  16. Well, if your a Richlands fan, I guess you are rooting for GC.
  17. So, does Richlands outpoint Graham in the final 2 games and get the three seed? Assuming both win out and both WILL win out.
  18. Said it when it happened. Personal Foul, clearly a hit that was to high, but no ejection warranted. The officials got one half of the situation right. We have to remember the officials have two decisions, not one. Was it high contact, head to head, at least a personal Foul, etc? Does the above warrant and ejection? Like I said, they got one half of it correct.
  19. Yep, Gretna is the second best team in that region. Appo beat them 21-7 two weeks ago, but that was at Gretna. Gretna lost by a point to Radford at Radford, but Gretna had 5 turnovers in that game to Radford's 0 turnovers, and Gretna rushed for 405 yds. Had 420 total yards and Radford had 218. Credit Radford for winning the game and getting the W, but we both kind of get the point.....One played horrible and one played perfect and the one that played perfect only one by a point and if the two meet again, the odds are that those same circumstances of turnovers/margin of turnovers will not happen again.
  20. That's actually good for Graham in my opinion. Helps Blevins get the reps and keeps Lester healthy. P.S. I remember a post earlier in the year on here stating Graham wouldn't win 4 games if Lester weren't playing. Well...….that might still be true, but 1 of those 4 would have come on the road against Richlands, lol.
  21. Speed makes a huge difference and if Graham doesn't beat itself, it will walk through Radford if both get that far. Trust me, forget about Radford. Appomattox has completely kicked it into another gear. They are pulling a Graham of 2018 right now, just like Graham did about 2/3rds of the way through the regular season, the improvement is through the roof. Appomattox will beat Radford by at least....at least 3 TDs when the two play in the playoffs, if Radford gets past round two. Look for Gretna to beat Radford in round two when the two schools play again, but regardless of who wins, it's not going to matter. Gretna, Appomattox, and Glenvar, none of them are within 2 TD's of Appo at this point.
  22. If Richlands beats Radford 45-28 and Graham beats Richlands 37-10 without it's First Team All Stater missing not just on offense, but also on defense, I like our chances against Radford. Radford will have the same problem Richlands had and that's an inability to contain Graham's speed. Again....assuming yellow clothes aren't left on the field when Graham scores. Graham's offensive and defensive lines have greatly improved. The offensive line for Graham got the best of Richlands tonight. That's a great sign if your a Graham fan. Holding Richlands to 10 points on the road, playing at Richlands, again with Lester not playing on Defense, and the way Richlands offense has been playing, especially running the football? That's a great sign for Graham.
  23. Got to give props to Graham's offensive line. Richlands was playing at a high level and Graham's offensive line got the best of Richlands. We were able to get a nice push against a very solid defensive line and that's an excellent sign if your a Graham fan. Our offensive line has been improving and they grew up tonight. Guys like Kiser, Atkins and really all 5 from tackle to tackle really have stepped it up. Graham can certainly lose again in the Region. Union showed us that, but if your a Graham fan, you have to like your chances. We have a pretty solid football team and they were down and disappointed after the Union loss, but the G-Men are far from done yet.
  24. If Graham plays their game and doesn't have a bunch of turnovers and they don't continuously shoot themselves in the foot, they will win Region D. Said this after the Bluefield game and still believe it. This was the kind of game for Graham that kind of flipped the switch last year and set them on a tremendous run to win the state title. I hope they stay this focused and continue with this high level of play. We see what happens when Graham doesn't beat itself. Tonight is a perfect example. Graham did this without a 1st team All State Player and Div 1 recruit on the road, with Richlands sky high, playing well, all the momentum, and they got taken to the woodshed.
  25. Abingdon will be better now that Reed is gone, LMAO....yea....right.
