  1. GMan, the Possum Tail Hollow Gang would like to thank you very much for your time and work. We all decided what you needed, but we are afraid to mention it on here. There might be a real undercover Revenuer on here. You know how they are always pulling a new trick out of their sleeves. Thanks again
  2. Sorry we’re late. We’re having those technical difficulties once again on Possum Tail. We’re having to use someone else’s account to post The Losers. Thank you Cousin Hoyt. Looks like everything went last week the way most people expected, except in West Virginia. Some games were a little closer than expected. Ridgeview almost fail to the Curse of the Richlands Lucky Horseshoe. The Slate Crik Crawdads continued moving Bass Ackwards. The Bluefield Flattails did some serious tail smacking. This week is going to be a little more interesting. Bluefield, WV @ North Marion The Flattails and the Huskies are definitely not strangers. The Flattails smacked the Huskies around fairly easy last year in the Playoffs. This year the Huskies will be looking to take their revenge as they get to host the Flattails at their Dog Kennel. The Flattails started the year slowly due to the Wuhan Virus, but it looks like Coach Simon has gotten things turned into the right direction at the right time. The Huskies are going to find out the hard way what a lot of old timers already know. Seems like November turns these Flattails into viscous critters that are tough to trap even in a large Dog Kennel. We noticed that North Marion lost to Fairmont Sr. Earlier in the year and most of know what a bunch of ornery critters they are. Looks North Marion is going to find out about another bunch of ornery critters this week. Lil’ Leonard’s Loser: North Marion Mountain View @ Ritchie County Coach Gravely has the Golden Knights riding high on a quest for the Championship Grail. So far the Knights have only had one slight stumble. That was against Stu_Bean’s Bull Puppies. We don’t know much about The Ritchie Co. Rebels except they are having a good year also. They also had a little stumble earlier against #2 A - Doddridge, other than that they’ve been doing what Rowdy Rebels do best, riding roughshod over everybody. These 2 met in the Playoffs back in 2018 and the Golden Knights vanquished the Rowdy Rebels 34 - 14. The Golden Knights had some trouble last week with Sherman before finally putting them away. They had better be ready to go at a full assault for 4 Quarters against this bunch of Rowdy Rebels or the Quest for the Grail is over. Lil’ Leonard’s Loser: Mountain View Union @ Graham What everyone already knew since the 3rd week of the season, most likely a Rematch. That’s what we will have this Saturday. In away nothing much will change, The Revenuers Speed vs. The Bears Power. Last week The Revenuers breezed, no insults intended, to an easy win while the Bears stumbled and fumbled out of the gate before getting it right in the 2nd half. If Bears play the 1st half this Saturday like last week, doubt they can overcome The Revenuers who have a much, much better defense than the Racing Cats. The Revenuers had better be prepared to strap it on and buckle it up tight because these Bears are looking for revenge. The Bears had better beware because Revenuers always have a few new tricks up their sleeves. Lil’ Leonard’s Loser: Union Grundy @ Holston Most people have had South Abington as the top dog all year in Region D Single A. We don’t know much about this bunch except they suppose to have a really good defense and a little speed. The Slate Crik Crawdads, they like the mud, wet, cold and have played a tougher schedule down the stretch. They have both beat Chilhowie and Patrick Henry, the two of the toughest teams on Holston’s schedule. So, the Hiking Cavs may be in for a big surprise this Friday. They may find trying to catch a bunch Bass Ackward moving Crawdads is tougher than than it looks. South Abington is expected to win, Slate Crik is expected to lose. Sometimes the team expected to lose is the more dangerous to play, especially in the Playoffs. Look for the Crawdads to show a few moves that are not Bass Ackwards. Lil’ Leonard’s Loser: Holston George Wythe @ Galax This bunch of Maroon Macaroons have had over a week to prepared and think about this game. Doesn’t matter. Still the same butt kickin’ coming. Just had longer to think about it. Lil’ Leonard’s Loser: George Wythe Ridgeview @ Wise-Central The Ridge Wolves barely escaped the Curse of the Richlands Lucky Horseshoe last Friday. However, it looks like the Wolves have been playing with a Hitch in their Giddy-Up down the stretch. On the other hand it looks like Coach Nature Boy Owens has the Warriors playing as one of the best teams in the Playoffs. Ridgeview won earlier in the year but Wise is playing much better now. Look for Nature Boy Owens to get the Warriors closer to the top of Space Mountain in this game. Lil’ Leonard’s Loser: Ridgeview Hey Stu_Bean, Cousin Hoyt finally talked Great-Grandma Chloe into baking us some Pear Spice Bread. That was some good stuff. So was that hot sauce.
  3. I guess Uncle Percy and Lil’ Leonard should have broken it down a little more. Made it simpler for the Millennials.
  4. Better hold on a second thar Hoss. I believe Hurley went 0-3 in the District. Honaker was 2-1 in the District. Since Grundy, Honaker, and Twin Valley all went 2-1 in the District, wouldn’t Grundy hold the tiebreaker since they have the higher power rating?
  5. You’re doing a good job Union_Fan. Roanoke Catholic is a private school. Only playing 2 VHSL schools, Allegheny and Craig. Fuqua is a private school. Only playing 2 VHSL schools, Randolph-Henry and Rappahannock Co.
  6. Noticed some of you Bear fans getting nervous about Tom Walker’s “comeback” last night. Young Turner just took a little strategy out Big Tom’s playbook. Big game next, big halftime lead, pull your starters so no one gets an injury, play the backups and pups so they can get experience. Poor game for Ridgeview to scout anyway, if any of these younger coaches still use scouts, all Union had to do was just run their basic plays. Then again, I don’t know if Big Tom ever scouted. He’d just line up, knock your head off, shove the ball down your throat, and give you a good butt kicking.
  7. We don’t get the Bristol paper here. Would like to know the game stats.
