Their line is a weak spot which speaks well of Huff to have gotten 1000 yards this year I would think.

yup don’t think they use him correctly at times, not a receiving back or a back that excels outside of the tackles against quality defenses. good back nonetheless

Then Lee would have zero inside run game threat and almost no receiving threat other than out of the backfield.

They don’t have much as it is with that line, and the receiving threat they have now is throwing a bubble, tunnel, jet to 4 and praying.

  3. taz by 10-14. ridgeview has progressively gotten worse since union game, note injuries have destroyed their game going thru the year as well. dont know how don’t know why. if QB is out Id say lace up the basketball shoes for the pack but backup was impressive at moments. hope game is close, also kind of a trend that taz falls apart against good teams but ridgeview hasn’t been a good team since about uhhh mid season. game liable to go both ways but im going with taz.

I think Lee will put up a fight against the G-Men. Their record doesn’t really reflect their ability. If a couple plays had went the other way against Rye Cove, Battle, GC, and Abingdon (all one score games) then they’re 8-2. Had Lee played the current version of Ridgeview instead of the week 5 version then they could possibly even be sitting at 9-1. Lots of ifs and buts I know but the Generals are missing a couple key players that would’ve made a big impact in those games they’ve lost.

Bro… log off for me real quick😂 besides 28 getting hurt early on he is better than 2 at rb & Lb , and 34 who was probably Lb. who else would have made key impacts, if lee had any sense 2 would be wearing 52 and 4 would be my rb🤷🏽‍♂️

I’m not saying Union is innocent. We are notorious for crazy silly penalties. But as they say, C’mon man!

oh no doubt. we average at least a false start a game. a few holds   excessive blocking.  lol. but with last nights crew ray charles and hellen keller would’ve been better for both sides.

There are some very telling videos circulating social media from the NFHS broadcast of one RV player losing his cool in two different situations. That is on coaching. When you recognize that, he should be on the bench.

OR if the game was properly officiated he would have been DQ’d due to those penalties.

    yup. crazy.

  7. Ridgeview is good. not one score within union good. union did not play their best game whatsoever. I know no team has perfect fans and union has a batch of wild ones, but no team i’ve encountered playing or watching is quite like ridgeview, players & fans included. different kind of folk. Playing id been called everything but a white boy, by the fans. haha. players were not much better. Every team talks smack but not like this bunch, a worse ref crew could have not been in attendance last night. so that didn’t help whatsoever. just ugly from both teams at times, just an ugh game lol

Apparently you must be new and on the coaching staff. There is no one in Unions short history that should go above James Mitchell. Started all 4 years 4 time all state and so on. Tanner Kennedy hands down 1 of the greatest lbs to ever step foot on bullet parks grass. Including the old lpd days. Would have loved to see him play and wear blue and gold. Bryce Spears in 1 year at qb had 35 tds and 2 picks. Pollier was just a beast off the edge his 1st 2 years and then then coaches screwed up and put him in the middle. Jeb stidum was by far a beast in the middle of that defense line and could take over a game by himself started all 4 years as well. Not saying bunch wasn't good but he doesn't even make top 10. I can name so many more from 2011 to 2015 to keep him possibly outside top 20.

wasn’t meant to be in order, mitchell the obvious best. and no i’m not on backpack brigade LOL and yes i agree polier should have been left at end but who else would have lined Cj jones up correctly haha

I’ll be happy to hear other bear fans opinions on this but here goes mine.

    1. James Mitchell. What is there to be said? 4 year starter, all state TE each year, took the program to new heights on and off the field. Simply the best Union has had and not close.

    2. Bryce Spears- IMO the best QB in Union history due to his dual threat ability at the QB position. Was a very good WR aswell.

    3. Tanner Kennedy- the best LB in Union history and maybe the best defensive player overall. Incredibly smart on the field and was basically an extra coach. Tough as nails.

    4. Mason polier - absolute monster of a FB/RB and a stud on the defensive side of the ball.

honorable mentions to Jeb Stidham, Raashaun noakes, Zach Qualls and Jay Gavin.

    1. Brandon Bunch- best union o lineman ever by a wide margin

    2. James Mitchell - it’s james mitchell

    3. Mason Polier - absolute tank on both sides

    4. Tanner Kennedy - football genius pure stud LB

Hm: Lomax, Qualls, Spears, Jeb Stidham, Zirkle, Jay Gavin, Noaks, Fannon, Evan Duncan.

  10. Now that ridgeview is done. that has wrapped up the mountain 7s journey in the playoffs. good showing by Mtn 7 all around. exciting season. All district should be interesting if coaches do right by the kids and don’t play the “vote for mine and i’ll vote for yours” game. but unlikely lol. thoughts? Should be mostly ridgeview, gate city, some union, some abingdon, a little central, little lee, don’t know abt battle. hate the way things have went for them lately but oh well.
