It's definitely a girls basketball school what are you talking about.  It sure as hell isn't a football school.  You should be proud of the girls for being so great instead of defending the football team who like Union will probably never win a championship unless we keep losing people and drop to 1A and riverheads actually moves to 2A

That what I was saying and pointing out it no longer a baseball school. Not defending the football team just stating a fact they are getting better and better.

Hill created a mismatch when Central refused to lift the bracket off Beavers.  That freed O’Quinn up as well on his zone reads as one less defender in the box due to the bracket.  I’m thinking you’ll see a whole year of Hill as WR next year.  They are limited by their OL’s run blocking.

I do agree he should move to WR, he way better WR then RB even with the good line they had thats about the best move they can make and maybe leave the Hartsock kid at RB they would make the offense way better Hartsock is a better RB.

Ok, still not sure if you’re trolling or really don’t know that much about M7 football but I’ll do this once.  Central doubled Beavers in the playoffs and Cannon Hill destroyed them, so they definitely won’t put three on him.  Lee will be much improved…so you’ve got that.  They will finish no better than 4th in M7. Beavers went against Jenkins (GC), Webb (Richlands) and Bradshaw…all three D-1 players not to mention the Cook kid from Abingdon, Graham’s other D-2 bound corner and the DBs from Bluefield.  That’s a lot of disrespect to a lot of good players.

I am not sure Cannon Hill destroyed them but O’Quinn did he got outside the box made Central’s corners bite and he made them pay for it.   O’Quinn is Ridgeview game changer.

  4. It funny everyone still says Central isn't a football school. What is it a girls basketball school? Wait I guess Wise is a baseball school since Wise used to win a lot of games under the Shupe era of some of the hardest throwing pitchers to ever come out of Virginia.  Of course that all ended at the end of the 90's, you guys are good with stats when is the last time a Wise team has played for a state championship in boys baseball I am curious about that.  That being said I think Coach Owens did a great job with a run first offense that he didn't try to hide and few teams could stop.  An for whomever gets the spot they have a lot of good talent out there to choose from for the next 8 years if the kids stick together.

  5. In the mt 7 I think it going to be this i do not include Abingdon since they are 3A.

1.Ridgeview- they have one year to try to run it this is the season, but can they finally beat the Bears.

2.Union with a really close game with Ridgeview that might go either way.

    3. Central. This may surprise a lot of ppl but the talent  doesn't stop coming for the next 6 years they going to be in the hunt

    4. Lee High with a lot of returning players and Pending the QB stays healthy they liable to sneak up on ppl

    5. Gate City

Cumberland district is a hard one to call but lets give it a jab

    1. Twin Springs I think this coach is pretty special believes in the program and the kids are believing in him he makes them want to be better

    2. Ryecove with the up and coming talent they have for the next few years there going to ball out

    3. Norton they where down last year but a lot of returning players and a coach that really wants to win

    4. Eastside still a young team they probably number wise should dominate the Cumberland and be a contender for state every year but for some reason cant put it all together.

    5. Castlewood they always are hit or miss

    6. thomas walker they have a few kids that will be sophmores this year i wouldn't be surprised if they don't jump to the 3 spot pretty easy.

    Southwest:

1 Gmen hard to deny they produce good teams but the talent pull is starting to get low

    2. Richlands they will be good maybe back to the richlands of old

    3. Marion

    4. Tazewell

    5. Va high

  6. If I'm not mistaking the Central basketball coach left to be closer to his family and not commute so far to work.  The varsity basketball team doesn't have a lot of what ppl would call basketball players just a few real players on that team.  Now the Jv and 7-8th grade teams are stacked and dominating teams in both football and basketball.

Coincidence: decade team graduates a bunch and coach is out. Don't think because talent left,  but more like he tried his best with their best and it didn't happen. No shame in that,  right decision that any coach would/has said they would do if they can't produce consistently. Politics, certainly involved but maybe they don't air their laundry like everyone else.  He did a good job at a non- football school.

    Akers? Too soon? Bahahaha

I still think Central has an extremely talented group of kids coming...
