  1. That's really fortunate to read.
  2. But it's locked up and and accounted for by military personnel themselves, so it's possible, although overall I would agree with you,.... ........ it could be homemade or it could just be playdough, the mention of grenades are what I'm particularly intrigued to hear the facts about.
  3. at least people are told the economy's getting better. "Arrow Trucking ceased operations yesterday evening. Drivers got a message on their satellite link that the company is dead and fuel cards were shot off. Drivers were told to take their trucks to the nearest truck dealership (Freightliner, Kenworth, or International) and they would receive a bus ticket. Arrow had a fleet of over 1,500 trucks. No paycheck. Every load abandoned. Drivers stuck wherever they were. Even if a driver wanted to use his own money for fuel, the carrier's insurance was terminated and their operating authority may or may not have been revoked. Drivers I spoke to on the CB yesterday evening were trying to sell anything they could - straps, chains, binders, tarps, lights, tires - just to get the money to get home."
  4. It is almost impossible to get such things off a military base or back from war, but people who have been in the system for years, particularly if they were in supply or ammo could likely get it off a base stateside. I agree who knows if it's real, but grenades are scary if they are. Seems as if it's possibly an angry veteran, hopefully it turns out safe for all. The fact that the guy ordered pizza, in my opinion at least, is actually maybe a good sign that he's at the least not completely out of his mind and still cares about his well being to some degree..
  5. My informed comments come from what I read as a concerned conservative more than anything else and simple knowledge of how some things actually go. I simply can't listen to radio in the daytime much, about the only conservative radio I listen to some is gibson who's on in the early evening. Counter the comments if you're able to though by all means, with all due respect.
  6. that wealthiest % funds 40% of the country with their taxes, bring them down at risk. But so what if they're that wealthy, they pay their taxes. The complaints you're having about jobs going elsewhere and such have much more to do with politics and legislation, not the working people, and the green agenda you support would move much more industry out of the u.s. to other countries to share in the global wealth than anything done before.
  7. how are you equating the military and socialism? That said there's actually lots of things the military does that are typical government, that goes with service, but even so the military does an undeniably very thorough job of seeking and destroying when that's the agenda and there aren't any politics or political correctness in the way.
  8. likewise how can anyone expect them to control health care, or the financial, banking industries, the auto industries, the energy industries. These are the people and institution you would have America become dependent on as providers????
  9. So what's going to be the inspiration to go to work and be successful when the wealthy, (who actually fund the country through paying the taxes) are considered to be the problem, when they are going to endure heavy government fines for having higher income? Why work to pay for health care for those who don't work? Why work to support those who don't? when energy costs skyrocket, as the president rightly said they would under his policies, after they bankrupt coal, as the president promised his policies would do to coal, and the country does away with it's real energy supplying sources, and goes to green sources of energy such as wind and solar, that even if doubled could only produce 15% of what America requires in energy, why work to pay those unrealistic increases in energy costs to keep your home warm and lights on when those who don't work and depend on government will have their costs subsidized? The real irony being that nothing is ever really free so the government is only providing to the needy through the taxes of the working man, so why in the heck work to pay your increased energy costs and pay for the energy costs of the people who don't work on top of that? The burden of those who will "honestly", not lazily, but honestly have to depend on government is only going to skyrocket along with the cost of everything else at that as they purposely bankrupt so much in America? How many people do you think are going to get a good education to work hard and be successful to play that game? More and more dependents needing government to provide, less and less workers, tax payers and providers, can you see where that's going to go? At some point, really, why the heck just not go bankrupt and stop working and live off government handouts yourself instead of being a slave to provide for this government and those who expect that everything in this country should be provided by that government for free? Why not just let America go bottoms up in chaos, let the country enjoy the standards of a welfare class living, that people in the appalachian regions should already be all to warned about embracing, and then after enough suffering let the people decide again whether they want a welfare entitlement state or capitalism and freedom, (after much bloodshed). The latter is the game that most hard working Americans with conviction will play. This entitlement mentality is without going to either kill America or bring about another revolution. The thing about it is, tiger woods is in a situation, there's ncaa coaches being hired and fired, dancing with the stars and american idol are on, modern warfare 3 will come out, and all I can think to put it into words is America is heading towards this critical time faster and faster and with a certainty. I'm often remind of the scene in the movie titanic when they guy says "this ship can't sink", and the guy who built the ship tells him "she's made of iron sir and I can assure you she can, and she will, it's a mathematical certainty....
  10. "Those who insist that it is all a liberal conspiracy have never plausibly explained the point of such a conspiracy." It's not simply a liberal agenda, it's very communist, global agenda overall. The simple explanation is power, through crisis the government can and will mandate regulations, constitutional or not, that can control many aspects of people's lives. The epa could regulate so much that reaches deep into people's lives in every way. The bigger goal as mentioned in the other topic is a global world under 1 government, this only happens if there's equality throughout the world, America would have to be brought down to the common world standards economically and in every other way. America simply can't exist within such a global united government as a rouge nation (by worldly standards) with the freedom people of this country have been able to enjoy enjoy, armed as they are, (that is big), and as successful as they are. Other countries benefit financially to some degree as they are able to take up some of the slack of America's economic downfall. Consider it as a lot of unsatisfied, jealous smaller local stores being able to take down a local wal mart and then benefit from the increase of business in the wake of wal mart's downfall for example. America is the world's greatest country, the only real present day superpower, with a much higher standard of living than in other places, (the real reason so many in other countries hate America, not because of bush, some people hate a winner). America is the target to bring down so that a lot of other places around the world can benefit and the world can be an equal place overall,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, it secures long term power for lots of people at that. If that's what you're for then cap and trade is for you, government control is for you and you have the administration who would enjoy nothing more than seeing this happen, they've been all to reckless at making disastrous economic policies that haven't yet begun to do their real damage and as evidence you have a president who has shown much more devotion to such global unity than he has for the country he is president of. It's very telling when the president goes around the world apologizing for America's success, even more telling and unsettling when his outspoken goal all along has been a fundamental change of America, exactly what did people think he was talking about or needed to be fundamentally changed about America, freedom, capitalism, success, these things that have all been trademark ways of American life for so long? Even more unsettling was that so many people actually voted for this change.
  11. "The harshest of these backlashes will come from the elderly who will suddenly visit their doctors and be told "no" when they ask for therapies or treatments." This is what really bothers me the most about this health care, people are going to realize just how bad this is when they start losing mid to elderly parents and loved ones because they simply can't either get the treatment they have to have in a timely manner or can't get it at all, and it will happen. The problem is a lot of people are thinking that either, when it's a real medical need the government, (who they permitted to gain control of things) will make exceptions, not at all, not going to happen, or that if faced with a terminal medical situation, they'll just say to heck with the regulations, will go pay more, even a lot more if we have to, somewhere else, ....wrong, such an option simply won't be around to be had anymore, anywhere. Of course there will be some exceptions to all this, the big shot politicians, they'll have the best heath care plans ever with the best doctors, as they already do, they won't be subject to all this they're forcing on the people. Sounds outrageous, but factual.
  12. the real irony here is of the photo with the article of the 4 legged animal that is supposedly the big threat to the environment walking down "the streets of a big city". People can be so ignorant it's beyond belief.
  13. I read that earlier on another site, they'll get my guns before they'll get my dogs, but they aren't getting the guns so my dogs are more than safe. Reminds me of the policy that prohibits dogs in places such as the smokies, 10 million human visitors a year there, most of those arrive by vehicle, but dogs are bad for the place.
  14. and that's the big thing, people have their priorities so out of order few seem to realize how big things such as this health care will be, or how big cap and trade would be. Despite the shortcomings of these agenda's themselves, what these things will do is enable government to control so many aspects of our lives we would be an enslaved nation, not a free nation. Extreme point of view but very accurate. Health care is damaging enough, it simply ruins health care (but who really needs good health care, hopsitals, ect? sarcasm) along with doing a lot of financial damage to the economy and people's lives, but the real enslavement would come through cap and trade. the ep would have so much control in so many matters we would not be a free nation any longer. This is their plan.
  15. but this comment.... I don't know what to say, are you paying attention to what's going on in this country? "a Congress seized by legislative paralysis"
  16. You do know greenland was originially known as greenland because it was green? I personally care about the environment as much as anyone else, but the fact is in geological time, the patterns of the Earth's life go through cycles and changes over tens of millions of years, people are really overestimating themselves when they think of the lives they live in terms of long and influential to actual weather patterns. I would agree though that some things people are responsible for, sheer pollutants, attempting to manage wildlife wrongly, hunting something to extinction, destroying complete rain forests, ect, can have sometimes devastating effects on wildlife, but overall, the global warming agenda is a false scare and it's a tool being used by people to bring about a global world government, and that's a global nation where America would be reduced to the standards of living of all the other countries. ..
  17. the folks who voted for this individual, despite all the warnings, should be reminded of the fruits of their actions on a daily basis. "Regulations are killing them. As my brother stated during deer season, "I make the choice to go underground, they don't force me." Right now the EPA has rejected existing permits from a operation in Clay County, that operator is set to start layoff's on Jan. 7th, 500 miners effected."
  18. "jubilant Democrats locked in Nebraska Sen. Ben Nelson as the 60th and decisive vote for historic health care legislation Saturday, putting President Barack Obama's signature issue firmly on a path for Christmas Eve passage" The people told our representatives that they were against this health care bill, apparently we're subjects of our government, not free. How corrupt is this administration, despite the facts of these destructive policies, there hasn't been hardly any transparency, and a christmas eve vote on something this big tells just how bad this bill really is and how much effort they put into preventing the public from paying much mind to it. This is outrageous and a disgrace to say the least. "Nelson also secured full and permanent federal funding for his state to extend Medicaid eligibility to everyone below 133 percent of the federal poverty level. The bill would require all states to do so, but Nebraska alone would not be required to pay a portion of the additional cost after 2016. And he won concessions for some nonprofit insurers and for providers of supplemental Medicare coverage from a new insurance tax, and he was able to roll back cuts to health savings accounts. " I don't know what to write about such corruption, seems they bought the nebraska vote openly with corruption.... at every other state's expense. People should phone their representatives and demand their state receive what nebraska did out of it.
  19. click to activate map on this site, very telling http://cohort11.americanobserver.net/latoyaegwuekwe/multimediafinal.html
  20. I agree completely that it's ridiculous for this to be consider for political actions. That said I agree completely with hacker about the bcs system being corrupt, although I don't put it on the scale of something that really matters above the sports level, it's been my opinion for years that the bcs has been a system that has been very unfair to all non bcs programs.
  21. "I am beginning to have some serious problems with this country and its government and I honestly do not see a hault in this downward spiral at any point in my life time." The irony here is you are rightly frustrated with government and can see the downward spiral of the country yet you are going to look for government to solve your problem? I'm not intending to be critical, again I can understand your frustration with the health care system but the fact is government ruins most everything it gets involved with through it's excessive regulation, and government regulations are the very cause of much of these problems in the banking, medical, insurance, ect., systems, and if you think health care is bad now, you should consider what it would be like if government actually controlled it. Instead of wanting government to provide you and everyone else with health care, you should want government as far out of the system as possible. These are tough times and going to get tougher, as a thinker looking out for your best interests, you should turn away from government and embrace the opposite, it will be better in the long run for you and this country.
  22. I realize you have frustration with not having insurance, but few people your age do or ever have, the free market system works though. The thing is it's simply not the government's job to provide for people. What could be done about the expensive medical care or insurance is another question though. The problem with their health care bill is that it's a disaster and ruins the world's best health care system. As I mentioned the free market system in America works, and perhaps the thing you should do is learn, if possible, exactly what type of health care you would have if the government provided health care for everyone. Free health care for everyone, it sounds like quite an opportunity, especially to someone who doesn't have any, but the quality would be so low it wouldn't be worth it, and that's the thing, at this point, those who don't have any say "that would be better than what I have now", but, those people would never be able to move on to something better, (i.e. something that's actually adequate) and that might go while people are youthful and basically in good health, but the time would come when they are older and in need of much better care in order to survive and there wouldn't be any to be had. From what I've read anyhow, they could provide all the uninsured common insurance for 60 billion $s, that's a lot but they are intending to wreck the system at the cost of almost a trillion $s, with much less return and effectively taking away medicare from a large number of people who depend on it. ..
  23. unfortunately most americans are to busy with fun things to realize that the government is selling them the opposite of what most people learned in 8th and 9th grades. rewriting the simple cycles of life in the science books now they are, quite an impressive bunch of doers..
  24. "AP - President Barack Obama outlined new multibillion-dollar stimulus and jobs proposals Tuesday, saying the nation must continue to "spend our way out of this recession" until more Americans are back at work." Is it just me or is it the irony of irony that liberals claim bush and sarah palin weren't very intelligent? Of course the other alternative is more likely, they are ruining the country financially on purpose.... .... .. ...
  25. 2nd to last paragraph, says a lot. December 7, 2009 Unemployment Decline An Illusion, Financial System Collapse Ahead On Friday it was announced by the Bureau of Labor Statistics that the U.S. unemployment rate in November declined from 10.2% to 10%. While the mainstream media would like you to believe we have seen a peak in unemployment and the worst of the economic crisis is behind us, we know that this dip in the unemployment number is phony and the recession is only beginning. Although the unemployment number dipped in November, we still lost 11,000 nonfarm jobs. Unemployment fell by 0.2% only because the civilian labor force shrunk in November by 98,000 people. This means more people are becoming discouraged and giving up looking for jobs. When you combine both short and long-term discouraged workers who aren't included in the labor force along with those who are underemployed with part-time jobs, real unemployment in the U.S. today is nearly 22%. The most important area of employment to look at is manufacturing jobs. Increasing manufacturing is the only way for our country to truly recover and build real wealth, because it will allow us to cut down on inflation by exporting real products instead of the money we print. Unfortunately, the U.S. lost 41,000 manufacturing jobs in November and has lost 2.1 million manufacturing jobs over the last two years. The main areas of increasing employment in November were health care and government jobs, which are non-productive jobs that are increasing global imbalances. These jobs are not being created due to a strengthening economy, they are being created due to our artificial, temporary and destructive stimulus. They are forcing our country to get deeper into debt and create massive inflation. Those who receive a paycheck for a non-productive health care or government job, compete against all Americans for the purchasing of consumer goods, without an increase in the supply of goods. This means after excess inventories of goods are done being worked off, prices of all the goods we consume will increase at an astronomical rate that is unimaginable to most Americans today. Many Americans with jobs are not concerned about inflation because they believe if the prices of goods go up, so will their wages and everything will balance out. They don't understand our standard of living in America has already been declining for over a decade. Sure, we have plasma TV's, cell phones and the Internet today, but our lives are becoming harder to live and it is becoming more difficult for the middle class to survive. Twenty years ago, a father with an average job was able to support an entire family of four or five on one income. Today, both parents need to work, and they are still unable to support their family without getting deeply into debt with credit cards, mortgages, auto loans, and college loans. Less families today have health insurance. Wages have not kept pace with inflation, all we have seen is an increase in debt to meet some of the demand from inflation. With the babyboomers beginning to retire, the decline in our standard of living is about to dreadfully accelerate. The average American peaks in spending at around 46 years old and the last babyboomer will turn 46 in 2010. Therefore, a major drop-off in consumer spending is coming. But more importantly, beginning this next decade, 1.5 to 2 million Americans will apply for Social Security every year until 2026, compared to only 500,000 per year during the last decade. Tax receipts are about to fall off a cliff, at the same time as government entitlement spending for Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid go through the roof. Many people have been asking us on NIAnswers, if we see massive inflation and gold prices go through the roof like we predict, wouldn't that be good for the U.S. because we have the largest gold reserves at 8,133.5 tonnes? Well, at the current gold price, our gold reserves are worth approximately $300 billion. Our budget deficit this year alone was $1.6 trillion. If we had to pay back our $12 trillion national debt using only the gold in our vaults, it would require a $45,889.44 per ounce gold price. But once you factor in our $55 to $100 trillion in unfunded liabilities for Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, our gold reserves will not put a dent in saving our country from the financial system collapse that lies ahead.
