Two of my favorite plays, both used by Bluefield and drawn up by the late John Chmara.
In 1999 when Bluefield was playing Pulaski @Pulaski. The Beavers were coming from behind in the second half, down by 2 scores if I recall correctly. On a crucial 3rd and 10+, Chmara draws up a flee flicker on the sideline where QB Jarrod Sudduth tossed the ball to Donald Amaker, and after doing so Sudduth ran a fly pattern downfield. Amaker fires the ball downfield for a 15-20 yard completion. Bluefield scored on the drive and later won the game in one of the best high school football games I have ever seen.
The second play is one we called Marino where the wide-out lines up behind the guard in the backfield and the center snaps the ball off to the side to the WR. The QB carries out the fake and voila. If you'll recall, Bluefield ran this play against James Monroe two weeks ago.
