If graham/gw game is off next Friday there is a solution. Bluefield is off on 10/1, GW off 10/8. Just flip flop weeks with beaver and gw games and everyone gets their games. It also lets Beaver and Pikeview play on 10/8 as originally scheduled  instead of 10/11.

Didn't Bluefield add Lord Botetourt for 10-1?

If you want barbecue that’s actually good, wait until Friday and eat at Fisher & Co.  Cuz’s hasn’t been worth a stop since the end of the Clinton Administration.  People say “it’s too high”, because it absolutely is.  People say “it’s not good”, because it’s not anymore.  When the food starts coming in on a Cisco truck, that’s when you know they’re mailing it in…

    Think you meant Sysco.

Auburn has hired someone just not sure when it’s supposed to be announced….should be any day….the hire from what I was told is someone from outside the state.

Auburn High School has hired David Seabaugh as their new head football coach. He is from Mississippi and played at Mississippi St. He has coached at Litchfield High School, Starkville, and Kemper Co.He played three sports in his high school days at Litchfield.

Pocahontas was the only single A  in Taz County.  In the immediate area you have Bland, Narz, Rural Retreat and Fort Chiswell.  Glynn Carlock wanted to play strong opponents and that is no secret around here. Graham would have been in the MED most likely.  The Southwest District offered tougher competition and out of district always included Bluefield and teams like Blacksburg, Cave Spring, Woodrow Wilson, GW-Danville, Elizabethton, Radford, Salem, etc...(and did quite well). He never scheduled easy wins.  After he left, Graham went to the MED briefly while they were down.  That was a mistake.

Anytime it was considered for Graham to go to single A, they asked to be put in another district besides the MED, but were told the only choice they had was the MED or stay put. with Pocahontas still open that wasn't going to happen.

ATHENS, W.Va. (WVVA) - A reliable source has confirmed to WVVA that Martinsburg's David Walker will take over as Concord's head football coach in 2020.

Walker led the Bulldogs to 56-straight victories and eight of the last ten Class AAA state titles, including four-consecutive championships.

A 1983 graduate of Pineville High School, Walker went on to play collegiate ball at Glenville State. He served as the team's co-captain for two seasons and earned All-WVIAC honors during his junior and senior years.

Walker became the youngest head coach in West Virginia history at East Hardy High School in 1988. He compiled a record of 56-41 with the Cougars, earning seven-straight playoff berths.

In 1997, he took over at Martinsburg, leading his team to the postseason each year from 1998 to 2019.

The Mountain Lions finished the 2019 season with a 1-10 record.

Concord will hold an press conference to introduce the new head coach at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 23.
