this evening in Parkersburg and it wasn't pretty. Catholic lead 44-0, before Midland Trail scored to make it 44-6. Each team ran 3 sets of 10 plays and then played 2 quarters. Catholic put up 32 in the 2 quarters. Midland is pretty big up front, but didn't seem to be able move people off the line. QB didn't have time to throw the ball.

Last year ran alot of Wing T. Passed very little last year, but return their QB. Defense can't remember. They are well coached and are expecting to be very good this year.

1988 WV Class AA title game at WVU Mountaineer Field in Morgantown. 4th OT Bridgeport trailing by 1 goes for 2 and Wins 29-28 over Winfield. During his post game enterview Coach Jameson stated "I went for 2 cause I wanted to go home." I wouldn't have believed this story if I hadn't seen it myself. Bridgeport has won titles in 1955, 1972, 1979, 1986, 1988, 2000. Bridgeport has lost in the title game in 2001. Also Wayne County is closing in on #400 currently 399-378-28 according to the PA guy at Wayne High School.

Alan Fiddler was just named the new head coach at Glenville State College. Alan was the head coach at WV Class A powerhouse Mooorefield.

They only beat Harrison Central, Ohio and Union Local, Ohio.
