When the girls changed over from playing in the fall to the winter the middle school teams didn't have enough coaches. If I'm not mistaken in Tazewell County you are supposed to work for the county in order to coach. I know that some coaches were doing both missle school and high school until the switch of the girls schedule. Also, the wasn't enough gym space either for all of the boys and girls to practice.

WHy is rasnick not playing this year?

Here we go again. Gaither had the talent of 2 teams in 1 and that's why he won. If he was such a good coach why didn't he win the ones that he lost? You guys kill me with that Gilliard sucks stuff. Who do you want to coach the Beavers? Yes they have had some talented teams within the last 4 years but in no way do they compare to the back to back championship teams that Gaither had. If you think they can comp[ete with them your dumber than I thought.

I'll be one of those 20,000.

Hell guys Richlands is 12-0 and only gave up 8 points per game. Their the best it looks like to me.

No favortism here. That is why he left. People were getting upset at the way he disiplines the players and it got to be to much. The same thing at Tazewell happened and I can't beleive that he went back down there. The players from 2001-2002 know exactly what was going on down there. OJ, Justin, Kitts, JR. ETC.... they know which parents were ass wholes and wanted him out of there. IF you ask them who would have been the better coach for them they would have told you.

I really don't think the cleats had anything to do with that game. We played both teams that year and both ended up beating us in the 4th quater. Salem's speed was negated down at Richlands because it was so muddy. Richlands just simply lined up and ran Breeding and Salyers down your throats. In '93 Richlands was 9-1 and beat us 14-7. This was without Salyers who was a HELL of a running back.They possibly could have defended their title that year.

I went to the game along with my dad and my brother who came own from Bluefield. It was a good game butler actually had a chance to go up 35-0 but an interception in the end zone and 2 penalties on the next possession killed them. Big I stepped it up on the kick off team and then held up on defense to get back into the game.

We'll all get to see it soon enough, when they have about 25 people on the 1st team and about 50 on the 2nd.

Charlotte also has a school choice plan where the kids can choose the school they attend up to some point. As long as they do that Independence will continue to "recruit" players from around the city.

West Charlotte is not bad right now. I went to see them play Myers Park but I left when it started lightning. They have a few of the fastest guys I've seen on a football field. They have lots of athletes but grades keep most of them from playing. Basketball at West Charlotte was also one of the best programs in Charlotte with players like, Junior Burroughs, Jeff McGinnis, Justin Gray, Jason Parker, Thad Bonapart, Curt Withers and others. They have threatened to close the school if the tests scores don't improve but I don't think that can happen because schools are already OVERCROWDED, so where can they send them?

I live in Charlotte now and I've seen Big I play 3 times. They are not as good as they have been but they are still the best around. Vance had a chance to beat them but they went for 2 and didn't get it and lost 21-20. Providence blew their game also. Butler has a big time tailback 6'3 250 that has already signed with UNC. This should be a very good game and if you guys want to see a good game then you should come to Charlotte on NOV.3

Bad play calling and turnovers are what's killing us right now. You can't win with 4 and 5 turnovers. Look at the games they've won and the amount of turnovers compared to the amount in the losses. Granted the other teams have something to do with the TO's. Blacksburg, M-ville, and Richlands are pretty damn good teams. the passing game is back to the old days also.

Why he plays alot now for UK?

Is there a kid from Matewan that plays for Kentucky right now? The other night I was watching the game and #7 is from Red Jacket. My family is from Red Jacket.

I've seen the politics of these votes first hand and I don't think that its done right. If you don't vote for your own players you probably won't get votes due to someone not liking you as a coach or your school. The SWD is biased to some degree. Look at how they do basketball and football. How can you have 30 or 40 first team all district players. Pick 11 and move on. Basketball usually will have 1 from each of the 5 teams unless 1 team is absolutely terrible. It makes no sense.

If I'm not mistaken I siad it before the season started that these backs are fast but light in the tail and can't run the power plays that Graham runs. If they can't get outside then they can't run. I also said that they would have to run the spread to be successful but I don't know if they can do that now that Cole is playing the way he is playing. (Soph.Jinx)
