  1. What would it take for a younger guy who graduated recently to be considered up in these ranks...Opinions? Because as I've seen, many younger players accomplish a lot but are never considered to be as highly ranked as those who came before them...
  2. Anybody think the 04 team could compete with them?
  3. I heard they had moved Bluefield's 2004 qb from playing MLB or DE to QB...Anybody know what that's about?
  4. I don't believe it was the coaches decision...from what I hear it was all a big misunderstanding between the quaterback getting the play and a pressure filled situation
  5. Alex Ashley has been brought in from Capital and he was brought in to replace an athlete from Chapmanville. A player from Huntington quit so we are left with a very determined and hard-hitting 35 lead by Jake Gilliam and Josh Powers from WAYNE high school. There is notably a difference between the styles of play within the South, but its all good when we come together to play as one this saturday night.
  6. Hello South West Virginia, This is Rusty Coeburn, Daniel Wells, Doug Vineyard, Cody Clay, and Joe Ball. We are waiting for the lunch room to open and figured we should update everyone on how North South practice has been. Everything is going great and we will be checking in everyday before lunch if any questions occur.
  7. Wells is my little brother and he's not sure right now...He is looking and being looked at by Liberty University and would like to possibly walk-on at Marshall...As of now he is set on attending Marshall his first semester unless Liberty offers anything which may not happen I thought you could pick 3 people from only six schools in the state?
  8. Just asking a question... When does the North-South roster come out and who from local school is the area do you think will make it? I heard there is a limit on how many kids from each school can go... any help?
  9. By any chance, BR, do you know the complete run-down on the Huff and the linemen award? I'd really appreciate it.
  10. Any chance you would know who the finalists were for the Kennedy and the Huff award?
  11. Just wanting to know when the Sam Huff Award will be coming out. Last year it came out in mid-December and I was being curious if anyone knows. Also, who do you guys think will be a finalist?
  12. UVA: The Bluefield line may be one of the strongest aspects for the beavers in the upsoming season. Allen Carter, Ryan Albert, Allen Collins, Travis Steptoe, and Jeff Hutchinson are all big and pretty fast. After practice, Allen Carter and Jeff Hutchinson run hills while others run in, this to me shows alot of heart and determination to be better. This line combination mixed with the help of some skill players should boost Bluefield to another pretty sucessful season.
  13. BeaverHolie: The smaller offensive line allows them to put their bodies in between themselves and the person running the ball. There speed makes up for the size they lack. With the speed and talent of all the Bluefield backs, a second is all that is needed to get through the line and into the secondary.
