Hurley beats ST Paul 6-0 and ties with pound 6-6. The rebels looked pretty good tonight. They looked a little worn out after 2 games and will need to be in a little better conditioning for the regular season with just 21 players. Running backs and quaterback and the line play was pretty good for a first scrimmage.

Brett Coleman was not that good. tweeder your wrong he barely broke a thousand. David Dye from garden was the last back with the most yardage around 1200 yards....His last season was 1995. Brett Coleman would not rank in the top 20 in the bdd the last 20 years. He was a decent back but not that caliber.....He went to uva wise and they mnoved him to defensive back and he quit.....Im telling you garden has produced a lot of backs thats better than him... 1. I agree with most of them BB TWEEDER with the exception of Bret Coleman. He was a decent back but not in TOP 5 in the BDD. He is not it top 3 to come out of garden. Brandon Helton from lat year was better than Bret Coleman.

I also think Matt Jessee from honaker needs to be in the mix.... I think he was the younger brother Tony Jessee...He had around 1600 yards his senior season at honaker....Also some guy they called the Ghost form castlewood, they used to be in the clinch river district or something lik that with the bdd teams.

I agree that Haysi and Grundy would have been a good game last year. I think Colley is a great coach and he can take an average team and make it look like an all-star team. The last time i seen these two teams play was in 96 and it was a great game. It was only 7-0 with 5 minutes left to play and i think grundy ended up winning 20-6. That was when grundy went 10-0. That same year Huley beat Haysi in the first round playoffs 18-6. That was also some game to watch. The next round the rebels ran into julius jones and the powell valley vikings.

Hey man we knew nortons offense like the back of our hand. We studied film on norton and knew what they was gonna run but we jus couldnt stop it. Coach stiltner knew everything they were gonna run and we just couldnt match up to there speed. They wasnt a great team but it would havbe been a reasonable game if we had the depth because it was only 7-0 with 5 minutes left befroe haftime. Someone stated earlier that there is a big difference between AA and A and I agreee with that except for Gate City or Powell Valley. PV could have beaten any AA school around last year. LPD is by far the strongest distrit is southwest va. There is not that big of a difference.

Hey b ballin or whatever...You should not be talking crap about the Richlands people not wanting to fight or whatever because they did the right thing...I am from Hurley myself and its people like you that give Hurley a bad name. Richlands won the game fair and square. Dont talk crap about Richlands losing to salem in the state semis because i watched richlands a few times myself this year and they had the best bll team in SWVA. Salem could beat anybody around here. So dont throw off on another team to make yours look good. If you dont remember your team got beat pretty bad in the first round playoffs. So hey b baller who you gonna whip anyway? All the hurley fans that were out there standing in the parking lot was all mouth anyway and thos are the same people that always give hurley a bad name. Hurley you played a good game against a bigger school but you lost....keep it at that and get ready for the next one. So act your age for someone really whips your a??

Hey lance who said anything about playing hurley..........id say you guys would love to have another one on the schedule like that..........if im not mistaking Hurley dropped grundy because they couldnt compete....so leave it at that....

The first thing grundy can start doing is to quit scheduling cupcakes first three games and that will take care of a lot when they play richlands. Grundy beat AA Sheldon Clark first game of season by 50 points....COME ON GUYS EAST RIDGE BEAT SHELDON CLARK. So quitmaking excuses....dont act like they p;layed some powerhouses from KY....I dont even think sheldon clark would be a good game for twin valley or hurley

Congrtatulations to Grundy....I tell you one thing they need to utilize Arron looney more that waht they do...Hes the best all around player on that team....He is a team player....they nee to use him when the play the tough teams more.such as RICHLANDS GRAHAM TAZEWELL......I think thats the only tough teams they play though...
