probably don't have to interview if an internal transfer is happening, many school systems are that way i think.  Oquinn will be fine and probably have a bigger year, coaches dont make athletes, athletes make coaches. coaches are needed but most really good coaches also have really good players

Mr. GMan and Mr. Researcher, patience please. You know Uncle Percy, there are a couple of things he can’t stand. Mamby Pamby Political Correct Millennials and Knowledge Deficient People. Uncle Percy says that this *intellectually challenged* (re-edited) must think that because he played the xylophone down near the sidelines makes him some kind of football guru expert.  Coaches mold athletes and they also mold other players with less athletic ability into better players. Question for the Halo and his “expertise”, “Explain why many teams with fewer athletes have beaten teams with more athletes down through the years of competition”.

You head the nail on the head Mr. Researcher, tooooo many experts.  You have to excuse Uncle Percy, he suffers from IKDP. Intolerance for Knowledge Deficient People.

Mr. Reseacher, the so called experts, that is the “in their mind experts” that post on this site can’t.  They just can’t do it.

Same thing for my opinion.  As long as Greg Tester is in SWVA and not the Head Coach of some team in football, it's well worth the call/well worth the attempt.  Man simply knows to much about pigskin.  He's going to do well whatever the school is.  For Lebanon fans that may know, whatever happened to Scott Allen, the great football player and basketball player that was on those Lebanon State Teams in the early 90's?  Didn't he go into coaching/education?

Pioneer, Uncle Percy says you have a lot of Common Sense for a peewee poster. In fact, more than a lot of these so called varsity expert posters.

Tester won’t go to Lebanon.  Don’t care how much you think he knows about football, TOO MUCH of a rebuild.

Heard from a very reliable source today that Tom Crigger is gonna throw his name in the ring for the head job at Central. He’s been out of coaching for a few years but itching to get back in. He and Luke were high school teammates and I’m sure Luke would give him a good word. U heard it here first, Coach Crigger back in the saddle!

    DUH!!!!!!

  6. For the next scheduling cycle Union and Pikeville should start playing ever year.  They could purchase a trophy together.  I mean a really nice huge trophy of a Bear on a huge base with brass tags listing each year’s winner and score. The Bear could be carved out of coal.  It would really be an easy road trip since Highway 23 goes by both schools. It would be better for Union than playing some of the schools that they are now playing and we mean no disrespect to any school. If would even be good for Pikeville.

We have The Back of the Dragon Trophy, why not “The Bear”?

Just because you "retire" from one career prior to 30 years of service doesn't mean you aren't going to do something else. Casto can go into administration for a few short years somewhere else and increase his VRS retirement a significant amount.

Mr. Researcher, what would we do without all these “experts”, that know everything, that post on here.  Uncle Percy would love to “praise” a few of them, however, he does not want to upset you and Mr. GMan.

Official: Robert Casto has informed Riverheads High School that he will retire from teaching at the end of this school year and from Coaching Football after 26 years. He ends with a 261-59 record at RHS including 9 State Championships.

Riverheads will carry an ongoing streak of 50 consecutive wins (Best active streak in the nation) and 6 consecutive State Championships (VHSL Record).

You don’t retire from teaching if you are taking an administration job in your district, you are transferred. If you are taking a job in a new school system, you don’t retire, you are transferring to a new system.

This isn't Salem replacing Stephen Magenbauer. This is Giles replacing Steve Ragsdale.  You have two ultra-successful programs where an "antiquated" offensive scheme is synonymous with the teams' very identities, which makes it virtually impossible to replace a legendary coach with an outsider.

Uncle Percy agrees with Cousin Liam.

  10. Well Mr. Bluefield Researcher looks like we not only have more than 33 expert coaches on here, but now we have a bunch of Expert Prognosticators. Let’s just jump to the Losers

    Broad Run @ West Roanoke

Well two things are for certain about this game. One is that The West Roanokers didn’t have to go whining and crying to the VHSL to move this game site like they did 25 years ago. They get to host. We can still hear their whining and crying from 25 years ago, “If we have to go to Grundy, we will lose, they’ll kick our butts”.

Two, West Roanokers, even if you win today, Uncle Percy says you’re still a bunch of Losers Just like that Slate Crik Coach told all those Salem football coaches in Sherando 25 years ago.  Now that’s a story You people need to hear Uncle Percy tell.

    Lil’ Leonard’s Loser:

    West Roanoke

    Appomattox @ Graham

Mr. GMan, your Young Revenuers are going to have one hard time of rounding up this bunch of Raiding Outlaws today. It was 2014 when a team from SWVA last out shot and captured this bunch of rampaging Raiders. That team was Lee High. Since their 2015 break out, they only lost 6 games in 7 years. OUCH!!!! Yes Sir, it’s going to be a tough chase.

    Little Leonard’s Loser:

    Appomattox

This Bunch of Revenuers may have what it takes to catch these Raiders, but it’s going to be close.

    Abington @ Liberty Christian

What do you think Mr. Researcher??? Uncle Percy says that all the experts on this site should be able to pick the Loser here. Cousin Delbert disagrees with Uncle Percy, says there’s always one.

    Lil’ Leonard’s Loser:

    Abington Blue Buzzards

    Galax @ South Abington

From what we have been told from several sources, we have concluded that the Baby Buzzards of South Abington will more than likely when the trash squawking segment of this game. We have been told that they do some vociferous trash squawking during their games. However, the Fiddlers know how to tune the squawks out  and make sweet music on the gridiron stage. After today, The Fiddlers will have one more performance to play before ending their Fiddling for the year.

    Little Leonard’s Loser:

    South Abington
