J.I. Burton @ Honaker Doug escaped what he would have thought was an embarrassment last week edging the Rebels late in the 4th quarter. The Rebels fought their way back into the light after giving up 19 points in the 1st quarter. Honaker is one of those teams that almost put you to sleep. Cousin Boheimer from Medium Rock WV said watching Honaker’s offense is about like watching to Heavy weight’s wrestle on the mat. Not much brainstorming or creativity going on at EMATS stadium. But, when you’re big and wear people down brainstorming isn’t necessary. As long as the outcome is a WIN…you have done your job. Orange will be everywhere, the LPD vs. the BDD. The Raiders from the City will be in full throttle for a battle with the Pride of Russell County. Everyone knows the history and tradition from both teams. Burton, speed, discipline, Championships. Honaker, ground game and Heath Miller. If Doug can keep the ball the Tigers will be purring Sunday. If Burton uses their speed and gets up a couple of Touchdowns the Tigers will be doing inventory Sunday. And Doug will be saying’ we didn’t FOCUS…duh huh LLL – Honaker leonard thats two weeks in a row.thats terrible.do even kno how to spell football?

he is a fan i think.dont think he ever played football so u must be mistaken.

i really think in the last few several yrs that kids get what they want handed to them when they reach high school level and they dont need sports to have a good time.so many kids could make good ball players that dont play because they have other things to occupy their time.i think back in the day you played ball or come home and worked.now days kids can do just about anything and kill time .and way back in the day you had to beg ur parents to play,now parents are trying to get the kids to play.thats just in some cases and im not saying thats the case for everyone,but ive seen some good athletes phase out once they reach that level.

they stunk it up for 3 qtrs against hurley lance.and 2 qtrs against grundy.if they do that this week they are done .it will be more than 14.they played terrible 3 qtrs after they put 19 on the board in the first.just like the talk has been ,they need 4 qtrs of football to compete with burton at all.

It seemed pretty obvious to me that they were trying to keep Hurley in the ball game. I have played for 5 years counting 8th grade, and have never had a call for 1 snap being unbuckled.

The equipment call was not warned at all, I was the person that the call was on and it was that I didn't have one of my helmet buckles strapped. I repeat I wasn't warned once and I ask the ref about a warning and he simply said that he wasn't there to babysit me. Get your facts right, come on Lance you have been at this for how long.

Cooper talked the ref into getting 1 more play. lol jk

if the runner is getting tackled and one knee is on the ground as he is goin down,he hands the ball off to another player,is he down?at one point both players have their hands on the ball but the one goin down has a knee on the ground.

clintwood may roll eastside good ,but thats the attitude eastside needs clintwood to have going into this game.clintwood and honaker game was a benefit game .clwood shut the run down,but honaker picked them apart passing the ball,with the 1st string goin into halftime.
