Tolsia's three losses came against two Ohio teams and Wayne. Tolsia only beat Winfield 16-7 but did beat Mt. View and some other respectable opponents. They only have two guys on their line over 240. Hopefully we can take advantage of that and push them around. The way I see it JM controls their own fate. There is no team left between us and Wheeling whom we are not capable of beating. With that said all three teams are capable of beating us if we don't play good football. Guys on the team, don't think about a rematch with Bluefield or Wheeling, just practice hard this week and get ready for Tolsia. You guys are playing great, keep it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe Tech would still win but i was at the game and when White came in the game changed. We were already down at that point though and then the special temas blunder before half did us in. They would probably win again but WVU can play with them. We are peaking at a good time and Tech has lost at a bad time for them.

Yeah I haven't seen Giles play but I know a couple players on the team. If Giles is fairly healthy, mainly Ricky Cook, they will give Glenvar a game.

No a man in my church had them given to him and he couldn't go so he gave them to me.

Hey man I didn't start swaying from the subject, Hillbilly did by commenting on the other Liberty plus I did respond to the threads subject. But out of respect for Liberty fans I'll limit my comments to them on this thread. My apologies to Raider fans.

Where are all the Hokie fans now???? I am just glad that now the nation knows what many of us knew all along. VT was overated. A top ten team yes, a top three team no. Gotta love it.

The guy I taked to said Liberty R. and Winfield are tied for 14 but Winfiled would win the tie, thus setting up a rematch between JM and Liberty R.

According to one guy who crunched the numbers. JM plays Liberty and if we win then we play the winner of Tolsia and Independence. We won't face Bluefield until semis and they have to beat Hoover to get their.

Does anyone have any updates on games?

Why do Bluefield fans see the need to always run us down. We have a thread about our middle school guys and they have to chime in with their insults. We beat them in a hard fought game and we are still overrated and don't play anyone according to them. I find it hard to respect Bluefields program because of their fans.

Berkley Springs plays Hancok Hoover plays Winfield Liberty Harrison plays a team out of MD

As of now James Monroe is second in the state. A win this friday will lock them into second since we are playing a AAA team and Weir is idle. Hear is something to think about though. Weir has 11.40 points this week and Herbert Hoover has 11.0. If Hoover beats Winfield friday, who carries five bonus points plus 9 points as a AA school. It is possible with Weir being idle that Hoover may jump to third. That would mean if the top 4 teams make it to semis Wayne would hoste Weir and James Monroe would face Herbert Hoover. Just something to think about.

Ok first off I just want to say thanks for the Bluefield fans who congradulated JM on our win. It was a hard fought game that could have gone either way. I just want to say congrats to the Mavs and good luck to both teams throughout the rest of the season. The other thing I wanted to point out was several quotes from WeirFootball, whom we all know is an expert on football and never exaggerates or makes outrageous statements he can't back up. With that said I hope you enjoy reading these as much as I and I hope WeirFootball will keep his end of the deal. Following quotes by WeirFootball: Mark it down, Bluefield will go 3-0 to finish out the season. They will end up around a 8-10 seed in the playoffs Ok, I said I wouldn't bring up James Monroe but you force med to. Bluefield is going to smack you guys by at least 3 TD's. You play a weak A schedule, let alone AA schedule. If Bluefield doesn't go 3-0 to end the season it won't be because JM beats them. I'll make you Mavs' fans a deal. If Bluefield beats you, I don't want to hear anything else about JM until after the playoffs. If you all win, I won't say another thing about Weir on here until after teh state championship game? Any takers? MavsGrad, I'm glad you took the deal, and I will stick to my word and won't post again until after the state championship if you beat Bluefield.

As i understand the points system. If we beat east we get an automatic 12 point plus bonus from teams we beat if they win that weekend. The max points Weir could get being idle is 9 bonus points for the 9 teams they have beaten winning games.

I think willie has made the most accurate statement thus far. Whoever plays mistake free will most likely win. Weir and Wayne are clearly the best two teams in AA. And us poor farmers can't afford to pay our refs as much as Bluefield. I will say this however, should James Monroe win out, we have a shot to leap frog Weir and finish second because Weir is open the final week of the season.

Thanks for that vote of confidence but I am not as confident. Bluefield knows how to get it done, even as an underdog. I think it will come down to who executes and plays mistake free football. However, if we play to our full potential, we'll be fine.

Bluefield has certainly shown themselves capable of playing with most of the top AA teams in the state but it will come down to fundamentals. If either team turns the ball over much it will be devistating. Bluefield has speed not doubt but i think we are a more balanced team this year on both sides of the ball. Our starting defense hasn't given up more than 2 td's in a game all year so that's a good thing. It can go either way, i think it will be a 14 point game. I am concerned about playing in Bluefield partly for the home crowd but mostly about the home refs. Hopefully the game will be settled on the field.

Ouch, yeah I don't think the score properly reflected the talent of both teams. Hoover isn't that good and Bluefield isn't that bad.
