  1. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] No kidding...All the WVU fans were quick to post last week when Tech struggled against ECU....Now that Marshall has put up 23 and is in the game in the 4th quarter with WVU, nobody says anything.... [/ QUOTE ] I will say something now. Is there a chance that the WVU fans were watching the game? The Mountaineers struggled a lot in the first half on both sides of the ball. The O-line really impressed me in the second as they were blowing Marshall's D-line away. The defense still has a lot of work to do. No offense to MU or anything, but if they play zone like that against U of L....Brian Brohm will rap up the Heisman in that one game. They need to run more man and get some more pressure on the QB. Lets give a shout to Noel Devine as well. From what I saw, I think he may be faster than Slaton and shows great patience. I can't wait to see what he can do as an upperclassmen. [/ QUOTE ] Wait till WVU shows the formation where Devine and Slaton are in the backfield together!
  2. [ QUOTE ] ii disagree.. I think they can leave points on the field and there d can still stop william campbell's o what scares me is the play of the center he is not tp quick to get his block.. pay attention to him.. and that miller kid I don't know why they praised him in the papper if he goes up against a decnet lineman they will dominate him he tries to come off the ball standing straight up. [/ QUOTE ] but Bluefield's D will not be able to contain the William Campbell offense as well as they did Graham and Pctn's due to them having more speed than those teams. Bluefield's offense has been inconsistent at times IMO. Bluefield will need every point they can get and must take advantage of opportunties given. Bluefield isn't good enough yet to leave points on the field against a good team.
  3. If Bluefield leaves "points on the field" like they have the last two weeks they will lose this game.
  4. Doesn't their coach(?? Bradley I think) have some sort of local ties?
  5. here is a thread taken from "Virginia Preps" about the William Campbell/Sussex game last night http://virginiapreps.rivals.com/showmsg....&Override=1
  6. [ QUOTE ] Bump....... Come on people, give us your input [/ QUOTE ] No input here. I'm on the fence after what I seen last Friday. For the first time in a while I don't have an opinion on who will win this game.
  7. He'll do fine at Princeton since they don't expect to win championships...lol
  8. It really is unfortunate at this point that my Mavericks have lost some close playoff games through the years, especially 1999, 2002, and 2006, and possibly 1998, and 2005 when they lost very winabbly playoff games and were established as the best team in the state those years. "Established as the best team in the state those years" LMAO
  9. Does Bluefield have a scrimmage BEFORE the Grid O Rama ? If so, who and where?
  10. the fence will be 18 inches behind the concrete curb.
  11. [ QUOTE ] hope you guys get the state games some day [/ QUOTE ] In order for that to happen Bluefield and Princeton would need to combine forces IMO. Princeton with the hotels and restaurants and Bluefield with the field. Heck the teams could even practice at Hunnicut Stadium on their turf. I think that is the only way southern WV would have ANY chance. On another note, that stone wall certainly would look nicer with plaques of former Graham and Bluefield greats. A ring of honor so to speak.
  12. [ QUOTE ] so says the biased va people, who's opinions are so biased against wv football I rarely consider them legit in these types of matters. [/ QUOTE ] and the ones that are biased are the very same ones that have had their "Virginia" teams beaten beaten by the Beavers in most years. That is, when Bluefield can get them to play them. Bluefield would be competitive with Salem most years IMO.
