  1. I seem to recall the samethings being brought up last year, and look how that game turned out. Now, I'm not saying Richlands will win 35-0, but I really dont think Richlands will run into all of these endurance problems that everyone is talking about. Last season the team had basically the same schedule before they played Graham and they did just fine with it. So I wouldnt worry about the condition of the Blues, I'd woory about Grahams ability to control Jennings, and if they can do that, then they have to worry about the pass. I just dont see Graham doing that. Anyway, goodluck to Graham, I hope it is a great game, cause I'm finally coming in from college so I'm making the trip up to Bluefield to support the Blues!
  2. [ QUOTE ] I guess everyone seen how bad the Dolphins defense looked.it was pitiful.they got some work to do.if i was going to challenge a play i would throw that red flag in the middle of the field.what was he doing?he tossed it like a girl.good win for the Steelers.we should have big ben back for Jacksonville. [/ QUOTE ] I really don't think Saban even wanted to challenge the play, he just threw the flag so he couldn't be accused of not challenging it. If he would have really wanted the challenge he would have thrown the flag earlier or at least somewhere on the field where the Ref could have seen it, instead of right behind the ref. And then after he threw it he just stood there, and didn't try to get the refs attention. I cant really blame him, I don't think a challenge would have done a lot of good, but anything can happen. Remember last year when Bettis fumbled on the 1 yard line when they were playing the Colts in the playoffs, no one would have expected that. But anyway, it was a good game, and I was glad to see our hometown boy get the TD and have a good game.
  3. [ QUOTE ] kiss my ass u old man grundy well bet richlands tonigh [/ QUOTE ] So, what exactly "well" Grundy "bet" Richalnds "tonigh", that Grundy will loose by 42 points? I would sure take that bet! lmao!
  4. This is a new live interactive gameshow on TBS that comes on at around 12:30-12:40 mon-thurs. Its really kinda cool. You can enter for free on the internet (http://www.tbs.com), or you can call or text for $.99 per call or text. I only do the free ones on the internet. You can only enter 10 times per each device (call, text, or internet) and you can win anywhere from $50-$2500. The way it works is you enter via one of the devices, and if you are selected then the show will call you back on your cell phone or landline phone. From there you go into the lounge where you have a chance to be put on live T.V. to answer a question for money. Its really a fun show if you are up late with nothing to do, and plus its a chance to win some extra money. Not to mention the hostess (Jerilee Bonner) is extremely HOTT! So if you're up late you should check it out.
  5. both, on the same sandwich. Lebron James or Carmelo Anthony?
  6. Kathrine Heigl well done, a little pink, or still mooing?
  7. He had to pass the ball, the run game was non-existant on either side fo the ball. Both defenses were way too fast to run against on a wet field. But it made for a great game.
  8. Gatorade Store Brand (i.e. Food club, Great Value) or National Brand (i.e. Coke, Nabisco)?
  9. I heard one report (http://video.msn.com/v/us/msnbc.htm?g=9380A92B-B9E6-435E-974B-FE722B651621&f=00&fg=copy) that said the stingray barb actually went under his rib cage and punctured his heart. The same report said that only 17 stingray related fatalities have ever been report worldwide, and only two of those were from Australia. This is truly a sad thing. Steve was a great environmentalist and he has done so much for the protection of many animals. Not to mention he was very entertaining.
  10. Richlands Tom Brady or Peyton Manning?
  11. [ QUOTE ] Yeah there could have been more yardage added to Lebanon's total, all night and every play gavin angel was getting held , right in front of the refs is the said part!!!! And to say that Tazewell or Lebanon can't hang with Richlands, I dont see how u can say that. By what I heard Richlands came out slow, what happens if they to that to a team that can take advantage of that. Tazewell has a good team the defense has to quit giving up the big plays. As for Lebanon there QB and RB are good that RB took a beating all night as was knocked out of the game for like a quater, and if i recall these same guys had there way at times with Richlands last year. So to say that these 2 teams have nothing for Richlands or Garham cant be proven right yet!! And again it dont matter how you win, A WIN IS A WIN. [/ QUOTE ] Those guys had their way with Richlands? They scored 14 point to Richlands 54 points, and I know at least one of those TD's was against the Richlands 3rd string defense. So to say they had their way is a little much. I'm not so sure that Tazewell will be able to hang with Richlands this year. But I'm sure Tazewell will come out playing hard at Richlands, since that game will mean so much to them. So I do expect it to be a much closer game than the Lebanon vs. Richlands game. By the way, I remember last year at Lebanon and the Refs were pretty bad, they mad a lot of bogus calls against Richlands, and didn't call anything against Lebanon. But like you said, a win is a win.
  12. could someone explain this play (the fake punt)?
  13. [ QUOTE ] I think we might be going to lynchburg in november to the state finals. [/ QUOTE ] I think it may be a little early for a predicion like that. I'm glad Tazewell won, but I have heard from several sources that GW isn't that strong this year. But I guess that's why we play the season out, you never know what might happen. By the way, gongrats to Tazewell, Graham, and Richlands on their much deserved victories tonight. Let's show everybody what SWD football is all about.
  14. I'm sorry, but I would have to disagree with your opinion of the officiating. I'm not only saying this because I'm a Richlands fan, because I even saw a missed pass interference call that should have went against us. I was sitting almost on the 50 on the visitor’s side of the field, with a great view of both the first pass interference call, and the “whiffed†punt. The first pass interference call could have gone either way, but in my opinion the defender initiated the contact. The muffed punt was most certainly a muffed punt, but didn’t matter too much because we ended up forcing a punt from GC and then returning it to about the same spot. Also, we were getting held on offense all night long and never got a call. I did however agree with all of the late hit calls, and they were completely unnecessary. I'm not complaining, since we did get the win, I'm just saying if our boys didn't play as well as they did then the refs could have cost us the game. Now about the defense, I think they played pretty darn well. The first touchdown was basically a fluke and really shouldn’t have happened (not taking anything away from the GC players), and the second was a result of a costly penalty (that was the right call) that put GC in great field position, not to mention that we only had 10 guys on the field for the scoring play, and only 9 on the field for the extra point. So only giving up 14 points in the first game of the season against what looked like a pretty good GC offense is alright with me. Now, I do have something to say about the coaching, those guys didn’t seem to have it together. The first drive of the game we had to burn a timeout because we had guys running on and off the field and it didn’t seem like anyone knew what they were doing, and on top of that as I mentioned the 9 and 10 man plays. However, the play calling was good for the most part, and I liked the fact that they got the starters out of there early. But all and all I really liked what I saw. With all of that said, let’s go have another great season, just like last year, but with a happier ending
  15. [ QUOTE ] No, Duke doesn't have black jerseys...some "marketing guru" made a black Duke jersey when black jerseys were the "in thing"...they have NEVER worn black jerseys... [/ QUOTE ] They actually wore the black jerseys tonight in the GT game.
  16. Yeah, i saw Brad Paisley in concert in at Gray, Tennessee a couple summers ago. It was by far the best concert I have ever been to. He is a very good performer. There wasnt anyone else with him, but it was still a great concert.
