Can anyone supply a little info on this kid, now at Salem, who transferred from Tazewell??? Did he play last season and if so, can anyone supply some stats?? He came off the bench tonight at Salem and gave a few minutes of quality roundball. Just curious what to expect.!!

Tonight's matchup with Wm Fleming should be a good first game test for the Spartans. At Salem High...around 7:15P or so should do it.!!!!!

Hey BR...Yes...Salem plays their home games at the school and seating is usually no problem. Varsity games usually start @ 7:30p or so. Now the semi's are over and the finals are at hand, most of the Salem contingent will be doing their lurking and posting on the VaPreps site. I do want to thank Lance...and yes...even G-Man for their time and expertise in running this site. I don't have alot of use for G-Man after his childish antics in trying to stir a pot of sh*t just to make it stink in the Salem vs Richlands topics, but Lance, you've always seemed mature in your posts and I will continue to check in every once in a while. Good luck to all the SWVA coaches, players and fans in all they attempt in the future and I DO hope Salem can show as much hospitality as you guys (Richlands supporters) provided the Salem Nation this past Saturday.

There are a few more Salem fans who lurk about this board. As for ones who post, well, that's just me and Mule.!!!!

Thank you...thank you and another Thank YOU for creating an excellent atmosphere for a state semi, Saturday afternoon high school football game.!!!!!!! Of all the games I have attended in my lifetime, never did I feel as welcomed at an opponents facility as I was Saturday afternoon at Richlands. The hospitality tent was unexpected, but very welcomed.!! The food was great, the folks serving and attending were very friendly, thoughtful and courteous. You all worked very hard to get this field in playing condition. Ernie Hicks stadium was ready and looking good. You all should be very proud of the way you folks hosted this game.!!! I just hope Salem folks saw how you welcomed the opponents to your fair town and they can do the same in the future.!!! It was a very memorable trip and one I was glad I took the time to make. Too bad your Tornado team had to come out with the loss, but they played with heart and emotion and I'm sure, they will make it back to the semi's again soon, if not next year. Hold your heads high, you all are winners. Not only the team, but all the fans and supporters of the Richlands programs.!! Again, THANK YOU for all you did for the Salem Nation and others who attended the game.

Its a shame that we never will know the impact of the illegal cleats. Both teams were cheated in that regard. I do wish that fans from Richlands would not try to downplay what happened. Can someone tell me what time the stadium plans to open the gates Saturday morning and are tickets only available at the front gate?? Meaning....are they planning on selling tickets on the visitors side of the field??? Thanks and we'll see yall in about 26 hrs.!!!!

Ya get there early enough for the first game, you can sit and watch both for the same $8.00 as long as you don't leave the stadium.!! Once you leave the main gate, you have to pay to re-enter. As for the good seats, well, if you are there for the second game, there will be plenty of time for all the spectators of the first game to vacate and the good seats will become available. At Williams Stadium, there are no bad seats. I'm not certain which game will be played first this year, but you can go to the VHSL website for that info. It's not that big a hassle once the first game is over to find good seating for the second game. Been there....done it.!!!

Yours and one or two others were polite and helpful, but if you go back and read, the majority were not very helpful at all and some just downright rude. I can overlook this kind of behaviour as I am an adult. I just wish every adult acted as one. See y'all saturday and thanks for your info on the parking situation.

The Salem fans and the Richlands fans are alot alike. We are all proud people savoring a true sports tradition. Hopefully we can all enjoy the day Saturday and be proud of this tradition...win or lose.!!!! There's always next year for both teams. I am lookng forward to my visit to your lovely region of the state.
