  1. Region IV semis and finals are at Graham High School from sources close to the schools. District boys tourney will be at Grundy and girls will be determined after a champ is decided.
  2. I totally agree Richlands Alum. Can you name the starting five for the BLUES?? They had an outstanding wing man who could stroke the rock!!! His name is slipping my mind at the moment!!
  3. Anyone of these fine gentleman would fit right in:
  4. "Remember guys, this is a classy affair on Saturday...I want everyone to wear their Sunday best...my reputation is on the line"
  5. KEEP THE STORM ROLLING BLUES!!!! BRING IT HOME!!!
  6. AS THE MICHAEL IRVIN SAYS: NUMBER 5 JUST GOT......JACKED UP!!!!
  7. Not to forget, the fan offered to buy Barry Yost some glasses....I am not monkeying around either!!
  8. The two guys I was working with wondered why cant everyone just get along!!
  9. Word on the street is that they are not opening the gates until 12noon. Any truth to that rumor?
  10. Does anyone know what the time Satuday's State Semi Final between Richlands and Hidden Valley will begin? 130 or 200pm?
  11. No, I think that Michael Richards now writes Jessee's material. What I was trying to say is that when you get to this level everything must be perfect. Like I said before, Turner Ashby proved that last year. The Blues learned a valubable lesson that day: you must be ready and bring your "A" game!! My list of absoultes and desirables stress that point. The Blues must play within themselves and execute and the rest will take care of itself!!
  12. I had a post similar to this one last year and it worked, let's all hope it works this time: ABSOLUTES AND DESIRABLES FOR THE BLUES The Blues find themselves in the same position as they were last year when they take on Hidden Valley in the Division 3 State Semi Finals. Tornado fans hope that Richlands can perform as well on the road as they did at home last year against Liberty. At this stage of the season there are no cupcakes and pushovers so the Blues must be ready to play every minute. I have composed a list of absolutes and desirables for the Blue contingent as they head for Saturday's showdown with Hidden Valley: 1. RELAX!! This was the one thing the Blues could not do on Friday night against Graham (especially in the first half). I understand the circumstances and the pressure that comes with being a favorite to win the game; however, great teams can trust their abilities and can perform at a high level under pressure! 2. KEEP IT SIMPLE!! The Blues have to keep on keeping on. Sometimes Mance tries to outhink himself in crucial situations, and Saturday will be no different. Remember what got you to this point: spread the field and keep the defense guessing!! 3. WITHSTAND THE INITAL RUSH!! The key last year against Liberty was the Tornadoes ability to throw the first punch. Hidden Valley will be facing the hardest hitting team of the season on Saturday. The Blues have to withstand the home field advantage and the initial adrenaline rush the home team always has. We did this to Liberty last season by forcing a fumble on the first possesion; therefore, the Blues have to strike early to establish the tempo for the rest of the game. 4. REMEMBER LAST SEASON!! Turner Ashby proved a very valuable lesson to the entire Richlands team last season: Executuon and discipline are a must at this level. The poise and composure they had throughout the state final last year proved to be the difference in the outcome. Most of you guys remember that day and know what it takes to become a champion: TRUST YOUR GAME!! Remember: If you play your best, you will not get beat!! Good luck BLUES, and let us hope the entire BLUE NATION will show up Saturday and turn Hidden Valley's stadium into a home field advantage for our team!!!
  13. This guy should fit right in at Abingdon. I heard he used to be Dennis Vaught's "offensive" coordinator:
  14. I think the MAYOR would be the perfect choice...he knows a lot about football and is great with the off the field activities:
  15. This is the only guy I know who has the balls to take the job:
  16. I was digging through an old file at Richlands High School which some people had tried to make "dissappear" only to find the ORIGINAL FATBOY in his prime:
  17. Guess who else was at the game tonight...Harry Yost: **Now OFISHE8 I'm sure you see images like that every day in your line of work but you know I can't leave it here. Sorry**
  18. If you put a little tobasco and some pepper jack, that Bearcat tastes real good on a cold night in Richlands. Our tailgate was wondering why ole VHIGH kept them starters in the whole game???
  19. If McCracken wants to play football and wants to play immediately, then Liberty is a great fit for him. He would have a tremendous impact on a program such as Liberty. As far as the pros are concerned, if you can play, the NFL will find you!!!
  20. AHHH Richlands Alum....once again we see the power of the dark side!!! It claimed yet another willing and tempted soul!!
  21. I think Liberty is a good fit for McCracken. They have a new coach this year...He was a offensive line coach for UVA I think. If you let McCracken run a spread offense I think he will have success at any school he chooses.
