  1. No high school senior football player for this year's class has signed any LOI. They have given a verbal commitment and aren't able to sign a LOI until national signing day in early February. The only ones who have signed any LOI are junior college players who had their national signing day last month. Even players who enroll early, like the ones who will enroll this semester, still have to submit their LOI on national signing day or sometime there after.
  2. I watched about 10 minutes of that one. That's all my eyes could take of the Oregon uniforms.
  3. [ QUOTE ] Reggie Ball 135/304 1820 44.4% 5.99 Yd/Att. 20 TDs/14 INTs 107.2 Rating [/ QUOTE ] Here are CJ's totals - 67 receptions ,1094 yards, and 14 TDs I think those numbers speak for themselves.
  4. I think the reason why Ike wasn't given more of a chance was his inability to stay focused and grasp the playbook to a level he need to. But after seeing where he put himself (or possibly encouraged to) into alcohol rehab this week, I can see where this may have been a problem all season and a reason you didn't see him play more. I don't know with how bad the offensive line played at times, if Mike Vick could have helped the offense much. I think if Ike cleans himself up though and gets his life focused that you will see him compete for the starting job in the spring and next fall unless Glennon steps it up.
  5. I think Glennon would put up better numbers than Ball did with Calvin Johnson. There were a couple games I watched GT when CJ would be wide open and Ball would miss him by 5 or 10 yards. Glennon puts the Ball on the money when he has time to throw. He just has 100 lbs of concrete in each shoe when he tries to run. In my opinion, Ball has been the worst 4 year starter in the history of college football and what's so bad is that GT hasn't recruited anyone who could challenge him for playing time.
  6. [ QUOTE ] we kinda made montcalm our rivals recently..theyre like 20 minutes from us. [/ QUOTE ] Montcalm has always been a rival to Pocahontas in basketball, even ugly at times, and it's carried over to football when Montcalm started a team.
  7. It's appears that way. At least it should be known in 30 minutes or less with the 3pm deadline looming. 'Bama would be the death sentance for his coaching career. If he stays it won't be about more money for himself or taking care of his family though. WVU, like VT has been doing, needs facilities to compete with big time programs to get the players in there. That's what it was about all along. 'Bama has facilities. WVU needs them and RR wanted them there. He was going to get them one way or the other. 'Bama is about to get done to it what Beamer did to UNC several years ago except in a more widely publicized way.
  8. Do you honestly think Rich Rod's family is starving? And I am sure his family is quite set for when his life passes. It's not like the rest of us who worry about changing jobs over healthcare coverage cost issues or trying to squeeze out an extra $4-$5k a year. That there is trying to survive and help your family. Not trying to blackmail your own university into giving you and your coaches a few hundred more thousand a year in salary. Puhhlease. I have no pitty for Rich Rod. Don't even talk to me about looking out for my family just because you have a few more years on me. I really don't care who started the circus. I just stated it was a circus and all parties involved are to blame.
  9. Players don't already have $1 million a year plus coming in as a salary either when they make the jump. Can't compare apples to oranges.
  10. To simply call this a case of a man looking out for himself and his family is naive in itself. The only thing this whole can be called is a circus at best. College football is an out of control mess that has been put on a runaway path for ABC/ESPN and the rest of the media.
  11. A background in the Marines will do that for a guy.
  12. Either way Rich Rod goes with this one, he's not coming out clean on this one. If he stays, it was in poor taste to let it blow up in the media. If he goes, he's gonna look like a liar to fans and his players for telling them he is staying all along. I really don't know who should be blamed on this one him or his agent. ESPN, other media, and Alabama boosters could also be to blame for reporting rumor and "Sources" too quickly. It's quickly become one big circus.
  13. It had been widely noted that O'Brian was frustrated with poor fan support from the Boston area (note BC getting stiffed the last 2 years in Bowl games because their fans don't travel) and his $785,000/year contract at BC is the 11th (out of 12) highest salary in the ACC now that Butch Davis signed his 1.8 million/year deal at UNC. NC State has been known for mistake prone games and not being very disciplined during games and the fans there were not happy about this. This cost them a few games during Amato's time there. O'Brian would easily take care of this problem because he runs a tight ship and is probably one of the most underrated coaches in the country.
