The other day I read an article on either msn or yahoo about how fans of the packers were holding rally's at lambeau,and all through wisconsin to get favre reinstated as the starting qb. I'm not a packer fan,but Favre at his current age is a better qb then AAron Rodgers will ever be. If he comes back,and rides the bench as the backup qb the packers organization will take a big hit from their fan base,because everyone knows Favre gives them the better chance to win right now.

If Favre became available Minnesota would probably not get him if another team like the bears were involved,because he doesn't like playing in domed stadiums. I do agree that with Favre the vikings could be an instant superbowl contender. If Green Bay doesn't release him,or trade him,and he comes back as Rodgers backup it won't go over to well for their organization with the Packer fans,because he's still a better qb at the age he is now than Rodgers ever will be.

When the new conference that GMan is talking about takes place they should call it the cupcake conference.

Even if High is healty and plays in this game the Mvs will assign a spy to him,so unless someone else steps up it will be really hhhard for High to do what it takes to beat the Mavs without someone else making some plays on offense. I do expect these kids to come out,and give all they got,because the way they were beaten by Bluefield should motivate them to come out and put everything on the line. I know it's suppose to be a sin to have pride,and if these kids had it Bluefield took it from them,and when someone takes your pride like that you can either lay down and give up or get back up and fight for it. I might be an optomist,but I believe these kids will give it their all against the Mavs.

Let me just say that there's been some pretty good football players on the team the past 12 years,but with that said take into consideration there's been a good number that were just as good or better that refused to play. The reason why I won't get into,but I'm sure you can figure out why if you've seen the games over the years lol.

I said that noone on this team was as good as High,he's the best player by far,but that's no secret. There are some other kids though that are pretty good,but most of them hadn't played much until this year. I'm not making excuses Bluefield owned them last night,but I said before the season started this team would be very inexperienced at the skill positions other than halfback. I did expect the line to be decent though with jotta and the Brooks kid returning from last year both are pretty big kids.

The Ali kid from Beckley is the only kid I know of that could be faster or be able to matchup with High in WV as far as running backs go,but I honestly can't say,because I've never seen Ali play.

I'm beginning to believe the only way the kid could impress you Sources is to wear a Beaver uniform lol. Cordero may or may not be as good as Ahmad,but truthfully either way that's just based on opinions. I don't believe there's a coach in wv who knows about High that wouldn't love to have him in their backfield.

Mavsgrad don't be fooled into thinking that MV doesn't have the number of quality athletes that they've had in the past,because the athletes are there they just lack the experience that's all. The kids on this years team have the athleticism to compete with anyone including Bluefield and James Monroe the only thing is that other than High most of them don't have the experience.

I'd say unless he does something to be sit out for like he did to have to sit out the first quarter against Graham that Cordero will be in the backfield for every snap unless he needs a break,but being the game is against Bluefield I'd say they'd have to drag him off the field in order to get him to sit out any plays lol. I always enjoyed watching MV and Bluefield play each other,because both teams always have so many good athletes on the field together,and it may offend some people from other schools,but I don't think there's any 2 other aa schools in wv that could play each other,and have nearly as many then a Bluefield vs MV matchup.

besides High you should watch Marcel Cunningham he'd most likely be the starting halfback if not for High. The other 2 kids I'd say to watch both split time at qb Anterious Parker and Cedric Thomas.

Not saying it will happen,but there's some other kids on the team that could surprise Bluefield with their speed and athleticism. They just lack the experience that High and most of Bluefield's players have.

You may want to read all the messages in this thread again sources,because it wasn't anyone from MV who started this topic,and I just,because I said it could be taken as a shot towards MV doesn't mean crap. I just gave an opinion which is nothing for you to get all upset over. If you would read what I've said you'd understand that I said you guys had the right to be confident in your team or cocky there's no reason for you not to be with a team of Bluefield's calibur. I even stated several reasons why Bluefield should win the game,but if you must know noone from Bluefield has to say anything in order to get Mount View pumped up for a game with you guys,but it's a bit funny how someone said so and so from the bluefield bball team said cordero said they were going to run all over Bluefield lol. I suppose that wasn't said in hopes of motivating some players from bluefield if any view this site. With that being said what's the difference. The funny thing is that it's not always some fan from MV taking what someone said out of context in order to get their team motivated it's the fact that someone from Bluefield always seems to get offended by what someone else might say. I never made a negative remark about Bluefield in anyway,and if you take it that I did you should reread what I said and think about it from my perspective,because I wasn't complaining about what the brooks kid said at all.

Personally I believe Simons learned his lesson along time ago about what can happen when you allow your players to not take a certain team seriously,but as for the Brooks kid and what he said it was a bit of a shot taken at MV when he said they haven't won that many,but what do you expect he's a kid with some talent,and believes in his team,and there's nothing wrong with him believing in his team,but at the same time with what he said one could also perceive him as being a bit cocky or arrogant lol. Personally Bluefield should be really confident going into this game for several reasons 1. Mount View has never faired well against them at Mitchell Stadium. 2. Mount View relies heavily on High to move the ball on offense where Bluefield puts the ball in several players hands. 3 Bluefield has alot more experience overall at the skill positions other than running back.

I wouldn't be so quick to throw Big Creek under the bus,and I'm sure alot of the people from Hurley know from years past even when Big Creek has only had like 15 players they've usually give them a tough game in fact since 2001 big creek has beaten hurley 4 out of 6 times,and in most of those years the owls were luck to have 15 players. This Big Creek team has some depth with a roster of 26-30 kids,so I wouldn't count the owls out as an easy homecoming win.

To be honest it hurts MV as worse to play Iaeger as it does Big Creek,because Iaeger loads thir schedule with 5 single A teams in which MV gets no bonus points for if Iaeger wins those games,and the possibility of Iaeger beating the 4 other AA teams they face besides MV isn't very good either,so most of the years we only end up getting 9-10 points total from Iaeger. I would be willing to bet Big Creek will win at least 3 more games this year which would make them worth 12 points total. I hope when the new school is open someone besides Mitch Estep runs it's football program,because if not it's going to be one of the biggest AA schools in WV and be playing the same schedule Iaeger plays.

It's good to see Big Creek doing good it looks like they have a shot at winning enough games this year to make the playoffs.
