1. He ran a 4.8 at the Wake camp on his second pass. The first one was a bust, so he can probably do some better than that.

Richlands?

I gotta believe they have a shot. They will probably get scored on more this year, but that will depend on their ability to close on the ball (as compared to last year), who lines up at the ends, how much of a mean streak they have on "D", and how much other teams may be improved. Overall, I believe the offense may very well be better. One thing is certain, if the effort and sheer will-power I saw in the young men who went to the 7 on 7 at Wake last weekend is in everyone who steps onto the field for RHS, nothing is gonna come easy on the other side of the ball.
3. Went down with Justin McCracken and his dad on Sat. and had a blast. It was my first but not my last. It's a great way to spend a Sat. when you are starved for some football. I talked to Wake's head coach for about 10 min. He came across as a very personable guy who cares about his players, the school, and the community. The QB coach is a high octane, no nonsense, fellow, but seemed to dish out corrections and praise with equal vigor. Oh yea.....by the way...... Justin had the best mechanics of the bunch and could put the ball out on a rope far better than any of the others. Is it game time yet?????
4. All I know is, since I work in Grundy, a loss for the Blues would mean I will be taking some vacation time to hide out. Probably wouldn't be so bad if I could keep my mouth shut while at work......but what would be the fun in that?
