You know I feel this could be one of the best regular season games Richlands plays. But from what I seen at the Bassett game , the Blue are going to have to tighten up that O line, I seen too many jersey numbers all night long!!! Once that is fixed I feel the Blues can go very deep into the playoffs this year. Good Luck Coach Mance and the Blues! P.S. I thought Special Teams played excellent, Defence was impressive, and O is young and can be very good once they gel and ge tthem linemen firing off the ball like crazed maniacs!!

I just wanted to congradulate both teams on a very dominant performance Monday night at Earnie Hicks/ E-Mats stadium. You all have something to be proud of the way you played. Hats off to Coack Frank and the way he played so many kids in this game. From what I seen this could be a promising season. And on another thought it is scary to think of the talent Richlands has with very few seniors on the Varsity roster and all of this talent coming up in the next few years. Coach Mance has been blessed with depth for the next 4 to 5 years! Go Big Blue! Coach Frank when #45 is slacking get up in his rump hard (I mean really hard, this boy has Ranger blood in his veins), trust me he will not let you down, been busting his chops since he was 4 on the football field! Running scout for Varsity wil only make him a better conditioned better overall football player! Thanks for the effort you put in my child to make him a better player!

Blue Tornadoes all the way for the next 4 years! They are still a young team and did not loose many players from the 2008 team.

I thought they looked pretty good considering they were running a vanilla offense. A lot of talent on the Varsity team, good overall team speed, JV did not look too shabby either. Were my eyes mistaking me or did I see Coach Mance use an I formation a few times?? When they changed jerseys made it kind of hard to pick out who was who, but I feel both Varsity and JV have some good things to look forward to this season.

Congratulation to the Richland’s Middle School Blue Tornadoes for clinching up the District Crown for 2008. Last game this monday at Earnie Hicks against Honaker. Good job boys!

I just wanted to post that 9-15-07 games at RHS football field are cancelled due to rain and field conditions. Raiders -vs- Cowboys game will be made up on Sunday 10-07-07 @ 2.3.4 pm @RHS Blue Devils -vs- Crimson Tide will be made up on Sunday 10-14-07 @ 2,3,4 pm @RHS Keep in mind that Sunday 9-16-07 games are still scheduled and will be played unless bad weather continues. The schedule has been turned in for approval, probably the hardest one I have ever had to put together. Stay tuned as we wait for approval. Once approved kids should have a busy and exciting season full of good fundamental football here in SW Virginia.
