  1. Nice, so will they be for sale only at the school or will they be at any local stores?
  2. A bit off topic but: Are there any state championship shirts in the works to commemorate the season? I'd like to grab one if there are any being sold anywhere (not the VHSL ones sold at the game).
  3. That drive home last night was so much sweeter in comparison to the one this time last year. Congratulations guys, you deserved this after all that hard work.
  4. It was Brad Salyers who played with Breeding during the championship season.
  5. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] graham was alright but those refs won the game.great game refs youll win next week too. [/ QUOTE ] Those refs! I bet. You sore loser! Shame on you. [/ QUOTE ] The refs? Blah. There's no way around it man. When you get 3 botched snaps (one for the huge first TD), 1 fumbled punt, an interception, and another fumble and you can't win you weren't the better team. With that many turnovers that should've been a W for Graham. Richlands didn't force a turnover til desperation time with less than 4 minutes left or so in the game. The refs didn't even make any real momentum shifting calls tonight other than the penalty when McCracken got hurt, which FINALLY got the Richlands crowd in the game on a serious level. I was nervous throughout this one and it looked like Graham really got inside McCracken's head tonight with the pressure, he seemed very hesitant. He sucked it up and came through though, as did the rest of the Blues. The G-Men brought alot of pressure and played a helluva ballgame defensively, they just didn't quite match up in the end. Also, Graham fans + Graham band demoralized our fans and band tonight. Swartz needs to let our guys (and gals) play when we are on D, the noise Graham was making was unreal. On a side note: half that many turnovers next week and we'll likely get an L, hope we got that out of our system now.
  6. Lebanon driving into Richlands territory (first time either team had been in Richlands territory). Jessee fumbles, recovered by Null. Richlands ball.

    scores 11/3

I heard Ron Brown say that Tazewell was winning 14-0 within the first two minutes of their game against Honaker. Could be wrong though.
  8. [ QUOTE ] think breedings yards came in 14 games in 1992. caleb has a shot with hopefully 6 games to play. look for caleb to wear out the cavalier def. this friday night. [/ QUOTE ] Nah Breeding's 1500 odd something yards were in the regular season. He had 2000 plus total in the whole year, I believe Ron said he rushed for 569 in the playoffs (amazing) to break 2100 for the year. I'll check and see for the exact #'s. EDIT: Breeding rushed for 1580 yards in the regular season, and 569 yards in the playoffs as I said above. 2149 yards total.
  9. If Caleb had the playing time he would easily break the record, but he's not gonna get it. As it stands, last night he tied the school points record (also held by Breeding) of 156 points..in the 8th game. I'm not sure if Breeding's was across the regular season or the entire 14 games, so *shrug*, but either way that's pretty impressive. Also I would agree, Breeding is definitely the best back to play at RHS. The other guys listed are good and we have had been lucky enough to have some great backs here at RHS, but there was no stopping him. He could out run you, run around you, and most of all run through you. He was also quite the kick returner as well. I've seen all those other guys (McCommons, Davis, Ringstaff, Jennings) and maybe more that I missed that were pretty good, but none had the total package like him.
  10. Ecklesten (sp? something like that) with 11 yard TD, 20-7.
  11. VA High with an interception returned to the Richlands 20. Still 20-0.
  12. Jennings TD run, Richlands 7-0.
  13. Beano, I was on Richlands side straight across from that end zone watching the play. I agree with you, it was no penalty - just a good clean lick as the ball got there/after it got there. The pass interference on Brown when he pushed off and grabbed the interception and returned it a bit was definitely spot on though. It also looked like the offensive pass interference call on Fuller was a decent call too, he kind of tripped up and hit the Graham player. I don't think it was a catchable ball for any of them though, regardless.

I would assume McCracken is up there in scoring now, with 6 total TD's last Friday.
