Twin Valley game is on Aug. 30th

Has anyone ever thought about what the kids think about dropping? It is afterall the argument, what is best for the kids.

Other teams want it? Didn't think they did.

Ok, I watched the trailer the other day and am a little worried. I understand the documentary is following the wrestling program and the struggles of the kids involved, but I think that the way Grundy is being portrayed is determinal. It comes across as if wrestling is the only way for some of these kids. Wrestling has provided things to some who would never have had them, but since the program was started, how many have received scholarships? Only three since 98 that I can think with the last being Tyde Prater. If the kids can EARN a scholarship than great, but sports will only take you so far. Many great people have came through Grundy and have accomplished more than others ever thought. Most of these people didn't rely on their athletic abilities to get them where they are now. And before it gets someone all upset, I do not have a problem with the documentary, but with how I feel everyone will be portrayed. Grundy is a great place with a lot of great people and we should not allow others to create an image of us that is not true. Wrestling is not the only way out and hopefully these kids understand that and will not bank everything on it. I wish them luck, but getting scholarships should not be their primary focus when they step on the mat.

Heard that Grundy soccer is having a home game Friday night against Richlands at Nelson Memorial, any truth to that?

I don't think that Grundy played shelby valley in 2007. Also, does getting new coaches really solve anything? Are coaches the ones playing the game? I would bet that you would be hard pressed to find a coaching staff with as much experience and knowledge as those coaches in Grundy. That goes for the older ones anyway. I really don't know the younger ones that well. Sometimes we jump on the bandwagon too much. Whenever adversity hits, we must face it and work through it.

Is there going to be a Grundy freshman team this year? I heard the Legend - Dale Cox - would be the coach. Sounds like he is moving up the coaching ranks.
