GW Should be AA.

Don't be surprised if AHS win 8, 9, or 10 games this year. No one in SWVA has as many 3 year starters returning as AHS.

Why don't Richlands play the best the LPD has to offer? It would be a much bigger game if Richlands would have played the 10-0 John I Burton Black Raiders. I mean after all they are the defending Lonesome Pine Champs and beat PV last year.

A decision was almost made then Bill Parcells became available.

JIB and Appy do it year in and year out with 25-30 players in grades 9-12. Yeah Richlands has a good team and I hope they win it all but do not think that they could and/or would walk all over JIB. On any given year, Gate City, Powell Valley, Appy, Burton, or Clintwood would have a shot at winning the Southwest District. How many state titles do you guys have? Appy by themselves has more titles than all of you put together.

Well you are ignorant if you think Richlands would beat Burton by 50. Burton would give them all they wanted and then some and might even win the game. Richlands has a slight advantage in size, but Burton has much more speed. Has far as the Grid-O-Rama goes you have a pretty good memory my friend. I do not however blame them boys for acting like they just won the super bowl when they kicked Grahams butt. Did you see how they acted after stomping Radford 35-7? I think that was Radfords first year leaving AA and their first introduction to real football like is played every week in the LPD. Go Raiders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Granted scrimmages really don't mean anything but I saw Burton one year with 26 players in grades 9-12 completely destroy Tenn. High in a scrimmage almost scoring at will. That same year in the big Grid-O-Rama, Burton spanked Graham who was just coming of its state championship and tore Radford a new one as well in the two halves played there. They also dusted Lee that year like 55-6 and Lee had a good team. Don’t ever doubt J.I. Burton. They would give Richlands all they wanted. Besides Burton plays up in competition in almost every game. Does Richlands do that? I don’t think so.
