Abingdon has proven they are not "soft" as someone posted on another thread. They played RHS tough earlier in the year, and now they have given GHS their only loss in the district, and possibly cost GHS the district championship. Congrats to a fine Abingdon team, you deserve the respect that you have earned!

If Austin hadn't made that great play to knock the ball away from the running back right before the half, CC could have been up 13-0 at the half, and that could have made a big difference in the 3rd quarter. I agree RHS came out in the second half with more intensity, and they looked like a different team...they just make me nervous! Even the RHS announcers commented after the game that it was closer than the final score indicated, so I guess I'm not the only one.

This had to be the best game of the night, and no chatter? I would have loved to have seen this one. GHS drives down the field all the way to the Abingdon 13 yard line, and with 2 seconds left Graham had one last chance to score...pass, incomplete...game over. Any thoughts?

You shut out RHS in the first half, and you're right...the turning point was right around fight time. A good hard fought game, and the final score was not an indicator of how close it really was.

I hate "prevent defenses"...they almost never work. During the last 6 minutes Tech played "not to lose" instead of going for the throat. A couple of blitzes during the last 2 minutes could have made the difference. He had all day (night) to throw the ball.

The Boston Red Sox embarrassed the Colorado Rockies in game 1 of the World Series last night by a score of 13-1. The Sox looked unbeatable, and Colorado looked like a team that had a little rust from their long layoff. I believe, and I hope, the Rockies can make a good series out of this after such a sucsessful regular season. Any thoughts?
