Talk about football on here not about how a school does things at their home games. Gate City High School has a phone number. How many that cry on here about the setup at GC has actually called the high school about it? I bet no one here has! Instead they want to cry about it to the GC fans that have no control over it! I would like just once to come on here and see a thread about Gate City that is not hijacked by someone crying about what some stupid inbred fan that gets out 5 sometimes 7 games a year did at a Gate City game! We the GC fans can not help you! Call those numbers and let them know. Please!

No but if enough people called then my guess would be that area would be watched better during future games. Better than getting on here crying about it.

LOL! Here it goes again! Abingdon lost 21 to 0 against Gate Citys starters in the first 6 minutes of the first quarter. GC put in their second string and made it 27 to 0. 3rd team played the whole 2nd and 3rd quarters allowing Abingdon to score all of their points.

I dont know what happened but the debate of where the cheerleaders should stand has been going on not only in this thread but others as well. Scott County has a great Sheriff and would help in any way. If anyone has a problem at the school feel free to find him. His name is John Puckett and can easily be found. If anyone nedds to inform him of the actions of the few a holes call and ask for him. The number at his office is 276-386-9111. I dont like the actions of those select few and plan on getting that area watched more closely at upcomming games.

Its not only at Gate City either. Dont know how they do it in the SWD but the cheerleaders are on the sidelines at all the schools I have seen GC play the last few years. I always thought it was part of football.

I hope it is Tazewell only. I really dont think it has much to do with cheerleaders. That is probably the excuse but I have a feeling the reason is that Tazewell other than last year has not been very competitive with GC since renewing the series. I have been hoping to get them replaced for about 4 years now. Will not hurt my feelings at all to see them drop us. Just plain cowardly is what it boils down too. If they are afraid to play Gate City then just say so. Dont blame it on something that can be fixed. We have a great police department to see to that.

I can only remember one other time seeing cheerleaders cheer on the track. It was in the early 90s and the school was Abingdon. I was in high school then and was very nice to them. I flirted with them every time i walked by them.:D Since then Tazewell was the only other school I have seen do that. Like Broady said there have been no problems for about 70+ years with the cheerleaders on the field. Why Tazewell has to be the oddballs I dont know and dont care. Wont miss Tazewell at all being on our Schedule and hope they are replaced but Richlands I would miss. If anyone has any problems at Legion again I know very well our Sheriff would take care of it without any bias for he is an old Castlewood graduate anyways.

I cant see why any other schools would be pushing it? I thought there were no problems at all with Richlands and no other Tazewell county schools are on the schedule but Tazewell.

Lebanon will not be taken lightly. I think they got caught looking ahead to the Gate City game last Friday night. I look for this game to be a battle of defenses and with the game at Lebanon then the Pioneers may just pull it off.

1970 was when GC beat DB. I think it was 72 when TNHigh was voted National Champs. Dont know if Gate City played them or not in a scrimmage.

Oh and there were two posters on here that said anything. I said that it was the upset of the year. But if you will go on down you will also see were I said I take back my upset comment. Their coach had them ready to play this week and they got the win. I wish them luck. Now the other poster WVURAIders or whatever I do not think is from Gate City. All other Gate City posters said congratulations to Tazewell. After looking back and seeing it wasnt a Tazewell guy that had the pot stirred last week I hope Tazewell does really well the rest of the season. If Richlands dont make it to state then I hope Tazewell does. GO DAWGS!

Gate City did get blown out tonight. No one is saying they didnt. Richlands did not put up 27 on GC because GC played their starters the entire night. South put up all 41 on GCs starters.
