they went for 2 with around 40 secs left..jordon blevins knocked him out as he stretched out for the pylon..inches i tell you..i was like ohh crap..but then he just got popped..you could hear blevins helmet hit his chest..just think chil got woke up ..i think they had a hard game with holston and then with gw..think their coach has done great job on scouting teams so far..will be close cause floyd looks huge..chil by 6.by the way..marion could have done better that poor ole graham..major problems in bluefield va.

humm,i look for holston to be alil sharper on offense..lastweek they had sum flat moments..i just don't think bath is as big as east mont.i was really impressed with east mont.i have looked and i think bath really hasn't played a real good team..bland was decent but we beat them by a few tds.i'll be conservative and say holston by 6.

well,gee thanks for all that..i think we know it's gonna be a hard road..we know the cards are stacked against us..but anything can happen..i don't think wc will want to run the score up if they got you down that bad..wait i forgot again..running up the score when you got somebody really down is what other schools do..not mentioning any name..lol

i agree that holston could beat abingdon this yr..but geez saying they can hang with burton or clintwood..ummm,i dunno.gotta beat bath first..they will probably play travel if they beat bath..long hard road for holston..this is the year they learn to win..next year might be a crazy year with them only losing 6 srs..been fun so far.

dude,he was huge..played for east mont...he gave holston fits..

east mont really played good..70 was mammoth..he was like 6'5-6'6 around 280 i think..

dear god,i rubbed my eyes when i saw clear on the field..holston sees him as a trader ,someone who built up a team then left..but i have heard he is a good guy..dunno,all i know is tell him to watch the games in the stands...i know i preach about refs,just think i might be getting thru to a few ppls heads.

ya know..i was at the holston game and if something isn't done about the refs in this area all of the teams will suffer..i have saw one crew this whole year that was ok.is it really that hard to get refs?lastnight east mont ran a very nice lil option play,the qb faked the pitch and ran with it.the ref blew the whistle cause he thought the back had the ball..i mean what do u do just say i'm sorry?it's the playoffs..get good refs

yes,those 2 weeks off hurt us though..i saw them be really flat then saw them get it going..then back to being flat..really bad play when they fumbled the ball cause they had the game wrapped up with around 3 mins to go..but hopefully this game will get them ready for next week.i thought the crowd was great..i had fun,i was tense the whole game.num 70 was i think one of the biggest and very athletic kids i've saw in awhile..east mont has a nice lil team..just to many dropped passes and mental mistakes.GO CAVS

this should just be a tune up game for holston..i do think bland and holston will play next week.if it rains heavy who knows what will happen..

understood..i think in the big scheme of things they are at best a c+ team..which will get you places if you just play hard.i really think next year they may be even better.i thought this was the year but honestly they can't compete with burton or clintwood.i hate to say this to but giles looks tough toward the end of the season.can chilhowie find the ball before they score?

i'll be around just to see if gw is still the best team in the world in bball to..what is it with the wythe community..you guys really like keeping things going.is it in the water up there?as for the game fri..holston plays pretty good in the rain..medford is a great little back..but bramlett and pratt can get it done..i think jordan will have a big game as well.still think it won't be close.

i'd like to say thanks to gman and all that had a hand in getting this site going again ..i love all the crazy posts and all the fussin..just not the same after football.atleast the titans are 9-0..lol

It's a "g"-thang in Nora. The long of it..they played hard until the final game, there is a lot to be said about those guys. Watch out for Ervington next year. 2) The VHSL has agreed to let Tazewell wear camouflage uniforms next year. Just when no one sees the coming, they rattle off 8 wins, beat some good teams, and go to the playoffs after a dismal last season. It will be harder to see them coming next year, even with the mandated blaze orange cleats. 3) Chilhowie has sifted through every text book in circulation and replaced the word "tough" with "Tuff". The only problem: no one noticed. They've spelled it that way for years. 4) Virginia High thought of a great idea to reduce worker mental load. Instead of having the same coach, coach the same thing, every year.. and getting burnt out, they decided to make all of their coaches choose a new sport, just to mix things up. Look out next year as the Bearcats are led back to the playoffs by former swimming coach, Leslie Byington. 5) Because Abingdon is such a feel good town, under complete secrecy from day one, the Falcon admin replaced the traditional sideline refreshment, Gatorade, with berry flavored Malt Liquor. The only problem is, most of the kids liked it too much and carried their habit away from the gridiron. The sad part: contributing to minors is still illegal, even in the golden lands of upscale southwest Virginia. 6) Disney has agreed to produce a movie based on John Battle's football program. The working title is "Busted and Leaking: The True Story", but some think that might be a little wordy. The hardships Battle has faced have been grueling and it's commendable that the kids who come out for that program actually stick with it. It's mostly sad that their district does not cater to programs trying to build. But stick with it, it can only get better. well,i think abingdon and gw might hold hands if we let them..geez,you and cowgirl backward never really have anything but negative posts..if it's not gw or abingdon then they are just ok..geez,abingdon has gotta be the worst team as far as sportsmanship goes.spitting,cussing,throwing punches..then turn around and think you are the best.gw,is just cocky..plain and simply..honestly,i like them better than falcon crest...lol

humm,that really isn't much of a trade off..i wish we added gw..maybe even giles..that would be intresting..we need to beef up a few dates.i just wish we had chilhowie around the 3 rd game so we could get a game or 2 under our belt..they get us early before we settle down.

i'm telling you..this shouldn't be close..but i guess thats why we play the game..33-18..just to bad clintwood or burton stands in the way..
