I know it sounds far-fetched, but I do remember seeing tile or something with turf and grass on top of it at the pathway leading into the woods behind the goal post on the end zone opposite of the concession stand and locker rooms.

I know that Eastern Montgomery High School was opened in Elliston, VA in the year 2000 replacing Shawsville High School (which is now the middle school). Was the mascot for Shawsville also the Mustangs like East Mont, or were they something different?

I recently heard that the playing surface at the Twin Springs Titans field was built on top of a water spring and that a layer of rock and tile was placed down years ago over it. Does anyone know the story on this?

Heard that Bland was possibly trying to leave the MED to go into the Hogoheegee for the Fall of 2017, but I think they were turned down. Any update on that?

Eastside also picked up Holston.

Got a question about the Hogoheegee District..I know that John Stewart Battle & Lebanon were both members of the district and Left in 2007, but were there any other schools (not currently in the Hogo) that were once in the District? I was thinking Castlewood H.S. - maybe Honaker might have been members at one time.

What do the enrollment #s look like when you combine Haysi, Ervinton, & Clintwood? There is no way they should be in the Black Diamond with Council (183 students total), Hurley (245), Etc. Even though the Cobras don't have football.

They played a double-header on Monday. (Two 5 inning games) Game #1 (40-0) Game #2 (17-0)

Thanks tbgfan. deuceswild, I wasn't sure if there was a "set" date or not for when they pick the All-State Team. I thought that it was usually in the Newspaper before Christmas.
