  1. I don't know the entire schedule, but I can tell you that the boys jv and varsity play at Graham Friday. And, the girls jv and varsity play at VA High on Friday
  2. This is ridiculous...do you not call sub-state games "big games"...Because those games determine who go to Richmond and who stays at home. In my opinon those games are the "big games". And as far as Hurley goes this year, I won't say that they don't have the ability to beat Twin Valley because they may. But, I don't agree that Twin Valley has "no chance"...That is ridiculous. How can you call a team that has won 5 straight BBD Championships and three appearances in Richmond, a team that stands no chance against Hurley..That is laughable.
  3. Clearly it isn't about not finding teams to play, it is about getting the best teams to come...And if you can have great competition then why wouldn't you try to get them to come out? The competition benifits teams in this area, and these tournaments are supposed to prepare teams for later in the season.
  4. Wow you may be the funniest person to ever post...First of all, why don't Hurley fans quit talking about football...The post is BDD Basketball, so if you wanna talk football click on the football link. And you have absolutely no right to talk about choking in state. Atleast Twin Valley has been to state in the last, well how long has is it been now Hurley12? Because nobody can remember the last time the Hurley Rebels graced Richmond with their unique "presence". And you don't see Twin Valley fans or athletes talking smack when they do go to state. Not Hurley fans however, yal get on here and talk so much smack. Not just about the upcoming season, but also about Twin Valley players. I think that proves which side of the mountain shows class...And it isn't the Hurley side.
  5. I agree...the refs made the no call and thats that...No player pofessional or not is going to tell the ref they made a mistake and they made the wrong call.
  6. I can tell you right now that you don't have a clue about the real world when mommy and daddy isn't there everyday..If you think things are hard now, when you eat at Exit 7 every single day and drive around a nice SUV you don't pay for, then you have a rude awakening ahead of you kid. And far as your girlfriend goes, if she gets mad because you won't pay for a fake tan....Maybe you should find a new one.
  7. I understand that Hurley hates Twin Valley...But, this is getting ridiculous...Please Hurley12 tell me one sport other than Football that Hurley beats Twin Valley at consistently...Not Volleyball (the TV girls go 2-0), Not Basketball (Both girls and boys go 2-0), Not Tennis (once again girls and boys), Not Baseball (we usually split), and Not Track (does Hurley even have track??)...HMMM I think that covers every sport available. I know that Hurley is proud and excited for their upcoming athletes..And they may beat Twin Valley this season, but until Hurley does atleast a few things that Twin Valley has done in the past I don't think you have a right to get on your high horse and ride across Rockhouse.
  8. This could be the dumbest statement I've ever heard... PantherAlumni06 is right when they said you can't put Twin Valley football and basketball in the same sentence..I mean thats stupid..I don't care in what context you put that in, I can't even take anything else you said seriously.
  9. These players deserve to be punished and should defintely not be allowed to play football. I don't care if they are athletes or not, this is wrong and they knew what they were doing. Punishment is the only action.
  10. Well I think that it would be a huge mistake to pay college athletes. College is for learning and working hard to get to the next lever, not to get as much money as possible to do stupid stuff with. And, a lot of times in the Pros, the athletes play with no heart and only play to get the money. Why take away that competitivness and the heart in college??
  11. I think it will come down to Duke and UNC..but I have to admit that Clemson will a surprise. In the end though I have to give the title to UNC. They are young, but by the time March comes around they will be true blue and be ready to go.

    Why?

I'm just going to be honest...It does not surprise me in the least that there are a lot of girls who aren't playing basketball from Richlands. Richlands is a good school, but their girst varsity program has been terrible for a long time. They haven't even been decent since the days of Jenny Keene. I'm not trying to hate on the Lady Tornados, I'm just trying to be honest and say that if the Richlands program stands a chance then they are going to have to do many things different.
  13. Well in my opinion I think that Twin Valley will have some competition this year for sure...I'm not sayin the Panthers won't pull off another BDD victory, but I am saying that its going to be a very tough road that the Panthers haven't had to travel in about 3 years. Also, the Panthers are going to have a really tough time trying to find a point guard to replace Horn, and from what I've seen and heard its going to have to be somebody besides Viers...I think they have a pretty good guard coming up from JV though..I think the names Hubbard. Honaker is going to be a contender. From what I hear they're going to be pretty tough. Council can shoot lights out, I think they proved that last year in the BDD tourney. They will miss the inside presence, but with shooters like they have they may just surprise a few people. As far as Haysi goes...WELL its going to be a very long long season. And I feel very sorry for Flemming......FINALLY, I'm going to have to say that Hurley is young, but they are hungry. However, I think we should all be honest with ourselves..Hurley is overrated....For sure. And, I'm not just hating on Hurley.
