  1. Don't see why, his knee is fine.
  2. It was Poquoson and they held Richlands to 17. Yes you cannot compare, Richlands 2010 version probably averaged 40 by halftime.
  3. Thoughts and Predictions. Granted Pulaski is 0-3 and Richlands is 3-0 I think this will be a very good football game. Pulaski only lost 17-9 to Northside which is predicted to be a favorite for a state appearance.
  4. I would say Richlands has a bigger rivalry with Gate City than Graham especially the last decade or so.

    Playoffs

Seems like single A Union can. Cburg, Salem, etc.. is not going to come all the way to Richlands when they got all the AA schools within 30min or so. In the playoffs do you call Liberty, Brookville, Cave Spring, etc.. not good competition? Playoffs is what it is...........can't change that..........you got to remember Richlands is one of the smallest schools in D3.

    Playoffs

Next week after Graham Richlands host Pulaski which is D4. Look for this to be a very tough ball game for Richlands.
  7. If you guys remember PV almost beat Richlands a fews years back at B. Park. I feel that year they caught Richlands sleeping b/c Richlands went on to the State game. Also a few years back PV came to Richlands and beat us by 3 or 4 td's and Richlands went on to the semis (but got killed by the Bees). So Richlands don't have the greatest track record aginst PV and the Blues are notorious for not clicking until the 3 or 4th game of the year. This year we sneak out with a win but this turn around I think Union is the real deal but don't be booking a state game appearance or anything yet alot of ball to be played, but I really think they have a good football team.

    Playoffs

No matter if we were D4 we would still have the same schedule as we do now. We haven't been beating teams by 40 week in and week out this year.
  9. "Richlands ran its regular season win streak to 21 straight games with the victory and will host Graham this Friday night at Ernie Hicks Stadium/EMATS Field. It was the G-Men that broke a 33-game regular season win streak by the Blues in 2007 in a game played in Richlands." Could it be possible again.
  10. Gonna have to get better as a whole on D can't leave it up to 44 to do it all. We have some out to injury with everyone back healthy and a couple of games uner there belt they will get better (lot of youth on the Blues D).

  12. Don't think you will see Devon running the ball this week either, for that matter don't think you will see him on D that much. We have alot of growing to do especially on D. Correct me if Im wrong but dont we have around 8 underclassmen on D. Personally I think the Pulaski game will be very tough, they played Northside to within 8 points this weekend and Northside is one of the favorites to see playing in december.
  13. Thoughts and predictions. Graham coming off a win against Tazewell and the Blues coming off a near upset to Union.

  17. If by miracle that Devon is ok don't look for him to play Friday at Union.
  18. Could be closer especially if our number 1 guy Devon is down. W/O Devon I look for a couple of TD win for the Blues.
  19. Devon Johnson you mean. With out Devon our team changes dramatically but we did play a great game last night, the blues will be ok. Only thing anyone knows is he took a helmet to the knee, could be bruised, fractured bone, MCL or ACL, at this point nobody knows. Hopefully nothing serious but it didn't look good.
  20. 4. Gate City Blue Devils (0-0) @ Richlands Blue Tornado (0-0) Richlands hosts Gate City in a battle of two state finalists from 2010. The Blue Devils were successful in division 2 last fall, knocking off Gretna for the title, while the Blue Tornado fell to Poquoson in the division 3 finals. Richlands returns Marshall commit Devon Johnson at running back and linebacker and is the favorite to claim the Southwest District once again. Prediction: Richlands 31 Gate City 14 VHSL-Reference.com Pick: Richlands
  21. Mine will be working just fine. SMACK EM IN THE MOUTH BLUE!!!
  22. Richlands beat Bassett 44-0 in the benefit game.
  23. Because there is no merit to those scrimmages. If Im not mistaken Richlands lost both of there games at the jamboree in 06 and went 14-0. The coaches move so many people around and looking at different players there is no way to tell how good someone is.

  25. Liked what I heard on the radio from the Blues last night, solid. Now lets get ready for the real season when the Devils roll into Richlands next week. Im not going to put to much on that b/c I don't think Bassett was real tough, but a darn good start for the Blues.
