You are a fan of the biggest bandwagon college football team in the nation. There are thousands of Notre Dame "fans" just like you who were indoctrinated because they were on NBC every Saturday. When they win do you thump your chest and say, "Yeaaaa boys, Notre Dame baby! That's MY team. I'm not from there, I didn't go to school there, I'm not even Catholic but by God I watched them on tv when I was a kid." Whether you like it or not, Notre Dame doesn't represent you and your reasoning for liking them is so far attached from what it means to truly be a fan of a school that represents you. Once again, it's very unfortunate.

That's kind of my point though. Like the VT/UNC or WVU/Duke fans or whatever you were pretty much indoctrinated to be a Notre Dame fan by a single network and $. At the end of that day that is very unfortunate.

Bump

Most of us here know that liberals aren't very smart and are basically what hurts this country a good bit. Here is an example of how ignorant they are. They follow their liberal talking points and somehow feel like Obamas & the EPA's energy plan is good because "coal is dead in WV & SWVA." Here are my questions that they can NOT answer: Why kill coal jobs if there is still coal that is available to be mined? Don't you think the price of Natural Gas will sky rocket once coal has been killed? How safe is natural gas? When will "alternative energy" jobs come to the mining communities? How long will people have to wait for those jobs? How long will they have to train for those jobs? Why can't you let coal compete with the free market until other alternatives prove that they can compete with coal and put it out of business? What about the small communities whose economy largely depends on coal jobs? Ex: Coal company employs > coal miner > who puts money in local bank, buys products at locally owned convenience stores/restuarants, movie theaters, etc.

I haven't chosen yet but a guy I really like is Dr. Ben Carson. His inexperience as a politician may hurt him soon but he certainly excited several Americans during the last debate. While the pundits talked about Kasich, Trump, Fiorina, Bush, etc it was Carson who gained the most social media followers afterwards.

I know it is super early but the Republican field is loaded right now. Who is exciting you and who is turning you off?

Still hasn't mention the US military members murdered by a terrorist this past week. With that being said she has found the time to tweet about women's equality, Nelson Mandela, beer koozies, and Rahmadan.

The lack of depth is killing the Cavs. Lebron is scoring, rebounding, and distributing the ball yet all I read on fb is how much he sucks.

If you are a FSU fan and live in Bluefield, Tazewell, Richlands, etc then you better have one good damn reason why you are an FSU fan. If not then you have NO bragging rights.

With pro football I could really care less who someone is a fan of unless they change teams every year. I have known people like that. Although when it comes to college, it's different for me. Being a fan of the home state team means a hell of a lot more than being a fan of a team who was dominate when I was a kid and I happened to like them because of that. When Bob Huggins says if he ever wins a National Championship he will tour around the entire state so everyone who wants to will have the chance to touch the trophy, that means something whether it ever happens or not. Let's just say if Nebraska follows suit their program and hometown fans could care less about some guy in SWVA.

Hey now, those Notre Dame fans watched Rudy when they were kids so that makes them LEGIT!

You have to love all of the people from the area who are Florida State "fans" and love to trash WVU and Tech. They also love to bring up national championships to compare. Maybe I will just pick a random ass team from across America and brag about National Championships and then act like it means something special to me.

You can criticize Snyder for a lot of decisions, but not giving into ignorant liberals is not one of them.

This is an interesting game. Usually I can't get excited about two 5-6 teams playing but considering the rivalry, the fact that both teams are playing for a bowl game, and VT's winning streak over UVA I love this. Should be a great game.

My guess is that the Ravenwood coach did a little film session and saw that the Beavers were not the best pass defense team when tested. It shell shocked Bluefield. Shame on Coach Simon for not being prepared for that.

Poor girl. Makes me sick to my stomach. The only bright side of this is that the monster who murdered her, Morgan Harrington, and possibly others will never be able to again.

All I want is for the Bluefield color commentator to stop saying "Mmmm."
