BigBlue02 11 Report Share Posted March 1, 2005 anyone see where maurice clarett ran a 4.6 40? Looked like a mack truck just barely creeping along for a running back, the one player that impressed me alot was Jones the QB out of Arkansas with a 4.2 or a 4.3 I believe thats one fast whiteboy . Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted March 1, 2005 I actually saw on ESPN that Clarett's 40 times were in the 4.7-4.8 range, which is absolutely horrible for a tailback. Maybe he should look into becoming a d-lineman...
BigBlue02 11 Author Report Share Posted March 1, 2005 He's to short lol, better hope he impresses the scouts at the private workout. That guy from Hampton wasn't to bad at all 4.32 40 for a wideout thats flying.
uscgamecocks 10 Report Share Posted March 1, 2005 Thats crazy, everyone giving Clarett all this crap about being slow, he just worked TOO hard in the year he was away from the game, besides noticing he was slow did you see how much muscle mass the guy is running with?? hes huge, he lose's 10-15 lbs, and I bet you see atleast a 4.5 from him
beaverbaseball 10 Report Share Posted March 1, 2005 I say he will become a decent half back in the NFL, just give him time
uscgamecocks 10 Report Share Posted March 1, 2005 He'wont be the next Emmit Smith, but he will be a quality Running Back, someone like, Deuce Mcallister or Deuce Staley
beaverbaseball 10 Report Share Posted March 1, 2005 I agree with ya on that one he won't be a huge star but he will be a quality running back
rhsfan88 22 Report Share Posted March 1, 2005 Not only did Clarrett hurt his stock by running bad, he quit combine and didn't do the vertical jump and another workout. Maybe he doesn't have his act completely together. Â Also Mike Williams' stock dropped some after a slow 40 time. John Clayton said tonight he might be a TE or a H-back when he comes into the NFL. bluefieldRocks 14 Report Share Posted March 1, 2005 What running back was it that messed up his leg real bad in the National Championship when Ohio State Played Miami? Â I cant think of his name..
rhsfan88 22 Report Share Posted March 1, 2005 Willis McGahee, He got drafted by the Bills in the first round and sat out his rookie season and is now the starting RB for Buffalo.
bluefieldRocks 14 Report Share Posted March 1, 2005 Yea, thats the guy. He's an awesome runner now... Â But i watched the replay of that hit and he leg like bent back-wards. It was crazy watching it like that
rhsfan88 22 Report Share Posted March 1, 2005 That was one of the more distrubing things I have ever seen. I remember they showed a replay right after it happened and you could see it happen right in front of the camera and then there was a picture of it in ESPN the magazine. It hurt just to see something like that happen.

rhsfan88 22 Report Share Posted March 1, 2005 I've watched it now about 4 times and it is unbelievable what happened to him and now he's fought back and IMO going to be a top notch RB in the NFL before it's all said and done.
