beaverbaseball 10 Author Report Share Posted March 21, 2005 Every team can have a off-night on a certain aspect of there game. You saying Mississipi State can't shoot foul shots would be like me saying JJ.Reddick can't shoot fouls shots when he missed 2 in one game this season. And this is were Duke will be hurting because if they get into foul trouble then there depth in players are gonna kill them
bluefieldRocks 14 Report Share Posted March 21, 2005 There is no room for mistakes when its a Win or go home situation. Obviously they couldnt shoot foul shots to good tonight.. Your making it sound like only 1 player shot all the teams foul shots. They as a team missed those foul shots, and im sure the whole team cant have an off night at shooting foul shots. Thats unherd of
beaverbaseball 10 Author Report Share Posted March 21, 2005 Duke's season average is .710%(551-776) from the foul line and looking at Mississipi State there season average is .669%(516-771) Not to big of a difference HUH??
bluefieldRocks 14 Report Share Posted March 21, 2005 Thats a pretty big difference, seeing thats about 45 shots Do you realize how many games they could have won if they could have made a couple of free throws here and there. Quite a few would be my guess...
beaverbaseball 10 Author Report Share Posted March 21, 2005 are you serious dude the shot difference doesn't matter, look at the percentages

beaverbaseball 10 Author Report Share Posted March 21, 2005 [ QUOTE ] You guys crack me up...lol [/ QUOTE ] do you understand what im trying to tell him LOL cuz he is trying to say Duke is way better then Miss State at free throw shooting just because they made more free throws. Im trying to tell him that Miss State cant control how many times duke gets fouled.
bluefieldRocks 14 Report Share Posted March 21, 2005 You think duke has control over how many times mississippi states opponents fouls them? i dont think so Somebody please explain it to him!
beaverbaseball 10 Author Report Share Posted March 21, 2005 thats what im telling you man so don't try to reverse it now. Miss State opponents did not foul them as much as duke opponets foul'd them. So ofcourse Duke would have made more FT. GET IT????????
bluefieldRocks 14 Report Share Posted March 21, 2005 Duke gets fouled more because usually duke is usually up, and there opponents are fouling them to keep the game close... Thats why duke shoots more free throws than M/S State...
beaverbaseball 10 Author Report Share Posted March 21, 2005 Duke shot a total of 1,327 free throws Miss State shot a total of 1,287 free throws Now do you get why Duke made more?????????/

Might as well say Duke can't if your gonna say that lol
bluefieldRocks 14 Report Share Posted March 21, 2005 Because duke is better than them... and thats why mississippi state shot less than 50 percent tonight...
Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted March 21, 2005 Honestly, and no disrespect intended, but what does it matter? Dook made the plays, and free-throws, to win and MSU could have been in much better shape at the end had they made even half the free-throws they missed. What happened, happened and tonight Dook was the better free-throw shooting team of the two.
bluefieldRocks 14 Report Share Posted March 21, 2005 We obviously just like to argue..lol
beaverbaseball 10 Author Report Share Posted March 21, 2005 [ QUOTE ] Because duke is better than them... and thats why mississippi state shot less than 50 percent tonight... [/ QUOTE ] Just because they shot less then 50% tonight don't mean they can't shoot free throws all around. Which your earlier post is what it sounded like u were saying [ QUOTE ] Oh well....some teams can shoot free-throws, some cant. [/ QUOTE ]
beaverbaseball 10 Author Report Share Posted March 21, 2005 ok LOL im just trying to explain that MSU is not a bad free throw shooting team just because they shot FT bad tonight
