FatBoy 10 Report Share Posted August 2, 2005 I was in Beirut, Lebanon this evening and recognized some of the local football officials at Pizza Town. I asked them where they had been and they said they had been at their VHSL football rules clinic. They seemed like a right knowledgable group and were in a good mood as they were pouring soda and pepperoni pizza down their gullets. Two of them were fussing about their weight and how much weight they had gained over the summer, one of them saying the other was over 300 lbs. My question - is there a maximum weight for refs? Does the football commish have them (especially the obese ones) on an exercise program?
bluefieldRocks 14 Report Share Posted August 2, 2005 I really dont think it would matter... I mean as long as they can get up and down the field without having to stop every 30 seconds for a rest..

rhsfan88 22 Report Share Posted August 2, 2005 In the Salem-Richlands game this year, Andre Hairston of Salem had a hole up the middle and when he made a cut he ran straight into the ref standing behind the LB's and that guy was huge. He hit the guy's belly and took a step back, but we weren't complaining because allowed one of our players to come in and tackle him.
