Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted September 17, 2005 Wow, imagine that. A SWD team pounding a team from the Highlands...lol
JimmyK 10 Report Share Posted September 17, 2005 I've not been around Southwest Virginia football for long, but good grief. That seems to be a weekly occurrance.
BeaverFan33 10 Report Share Posted September 17, 2005 They pounded a team not from the Highlands district the first week of the season....hmmmmm
gconman25 11 Report Share Posted September 17, 2005 Thanks beaverbaseball for the final update! I can now go to sleep with a G-Men victory in my head. Looks like the game down in Grundy turned into a shootout? Sure you were torn between the games on the radio dial.
Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted September 17, 2005 The Highlands teams better be thankful they didn't combine with SWD b/c they'd all be district doormats...

gconman25 11 Report Share Posted September 17, 2005 Can't blame you for that. Blowout vs shootout, I know what I would be focused on.
beano5 14 Report Share Posted September 17, 2005 anyone know the extent of workmans injury??? all i know is ankle....but i dunno how bad...
BEARCAT 10 Report Share Posted September 17, 2005 How many highlands teams you ever watch play? Teams from the highlands are not doormats to the swd. The last couple of years the swd has had the upper hand, but your 2 cents have nothing to do with it. We all know their was a highlands team in the region final last year, so if you want to congratulate Graham on a good win that's fine. Leave the district out of it. Congrats on the "big win". You and single A clintwood both have wins over Grundy now.
jeffro 30 Report Share Posted September 17, 2005 latest report on Workman is a broken ankle-terrible loss since is was really coming on. This is a VERY classy young man and it' another big loss for Graham.
beano5 14 Report Share Posted September 17, 2005 its not too bad of a loss....his back-up Matt Yost is a very good player...he has great vision and he can throw and run well...but still a loss nonetheless....cant replace him...but Yost will do a good job... Sources 10 Report Share Posted September 17, 2005 I am very sorry to hear about Workman. Us Bluefield fans know how you feel somewhat except we were on the lucky side of an injury to Powell since he was able to come back.
BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted September 17, 2005 I'm sorry to hear about Workman's injury. I hate to see any kid go down like that. Best wishes to him.
