WeirFootball 10 Report Share Posted December 5, 2005 I don't know what your schedule looks like, but because of a conference forming within the OVAC, Weir lost 3 games for next year. I was jw if Bluefield had any openings on their schedule b/c I'd like to see this game at a neutral site such as Laidley Field. This has built into a heated rivalry and I think it would be good for both programs to play a regular season game against each other. If you do have an open date, I think it would be good if Coach Simon contacted Weir's athletic dept. so neither team has a 9 game schedule. Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted December 6, 2005 We have two open slots on the schedule for next year. Unless something changes Beaver's open dates next year will be in the 3rd, 6th, and 11th weeks...

WeirFootball 10 Author Report Share Posted December 6, 2005 I think a Bluefield/Weir game always makes each team step it up a notch. I'd definitely like to see these two programs start playing annually in the regular season.
total 12 Report Share Posted December 6, 2005 yeah - i wouldn't mind seeing it next year... especially since Weir is supposed to be in a down year, and Bluefield is supposed to be #1. but we all know what CAN happen in a supposed down year, so i'm sure it would be a great game. WeirFootball 10 Author Report Share Posted December 7, 2005 I don't know if that's right. I talked to one of my friends who was a two way starter on this year's team and he said that Weir isn't playing Beaver Local next year. When I hear something for sure, I will post it.
