tornado99 345 Report Share Posted August 16, 2006 How are the Bulldogs looking so far this preseason? Who are in what positions? Outlook for '06 season in wins/losses?
EH31 2,526 Report Share Posted August 17, 2006 heard that drew walker and muncy are competing for qb.. tj salyers transfers out of the backfield to be a wr/te...so who will be the other back in the T if they use Rasnick and McDaniel....maybe Moore? DaveMann 10 Report Share Posted August 17, 2006 Tazewell, has a great coaching staff and should have talented skill players this year, I think they will have a good year.
Cowboy 10 Report Share Posted August 17, 2006 was told that mcdanials, rasnick, and sawyers would be the backs with moore and rudy alternating at the fullback position. also was told that who ever was not in the backfield at running back would be playing the wide out. so they will have skilled players on the field at all times
Bulldogs52 484 Report Share Posted August 17, 2006 How did they fair in the scrimmage with GC?
Cowboy 10 Report Share Posted August 18, 2006 GC could not stop the first team offense which only went two series (10 play series)Tazewell scored once and would have scored again but run there ten plays and changed sides to defense. the D came up with three turnovers on there first series and pretty much dominated. bound4glory06 10 Report Share Posted August 18, 2006 The big question is, can tazewell take the good coaching and talent and put it all together. Tazewell lost some key elements. The question is can guys like Drew Walker, TJ Salyers, and Gavin Angle step up and take the reigns and lead. Or is the real leadership gonna come from the guys like Matt Muncy, TJ Rasnick, Andrew Rhudy, and Clinton Moore and some of the younger guys. We all know what it was like last year but can they step up this year and bust the district in the mouth.
Cowboy 10 Report Share Posted August 18, 2006 i guess that we will know a little more about there character after tonights scrimmage
bicycle 10 Report Share Posted August 19, 2006 and we whoopped narrows ..........not saying there any good or nohting but we beat them 42 to nothing with the first team scoring all the td's and we forced 2 turnovers it was a good preformance but we still need to improve
Narz_Wave 10 Report Share Posted August 19, 2006 Congrats on beating a school with maybe a third of the enrollment that Tazewell has.
Tid_Bit 10 Report Share Posted August 19, 2006 [ QUOTE ] Congrats on beating a school with maybe a third of the enrollment that Tazewell has. [/ QUOTE ] what is Narrow enrollment? Tazewell is at 570 or less so if Narrows has a third of the enrollment.....not good at math but that would put them at under 250 students. Since they are in div 2 that is impossible. So congrats on being a dumbass!

ph532003 10 Report Share Posted August 19, 2006 I played for Narrows in the 70's, never had any problem beating Tazwell in scrimmage then also wore all the Tazwell softball teams out in 2003 if you had the heart of the little Narrows team you could win the state. Take away the 8th graders who aren't eligible for Varsity competition and the number hovers right around 300 or less. So, I'm sorry, Tazewell is approximately twice out size. [/ QUOTE ] Yes, I know this and I have b*$ed & moaned for years to get them in AA. The funny thing with Grayson though is they are probably one of the worst teams their size in the state in football most years. They're more obsessed with baseball than anything. football101 10 Report Share Posted August 21, 2006 What does the size of the school matter?? So you are saying that Narrows has about 200 students? Because i doubt that Taz. has even 600. 42-0 is a beating no matter who you are playing. Don't play the "bigger school" excuse. That never works. Narz_Wave 10 Report Share Posted August 21, 2006 You get called a "dumb***" by someone and see if you don't get defensive. I know that size shouldn't matter, but in all reality it does. I know talent can be anywhere, but with twice the enrollment, the odds that Tazewell has more talent is twice as likely.
