old_school_blue 247 Report Share Posted July 16, 2007 The RMFLI Board of Directors voted to permanently include the Tazewell Youth Football program and the Honaker Youth Football program into the Richlands program. The Board voted earlier in the summer to include the Twin Valley program. The Richlands program field five camps of its own. So it looks like the League will be at least ten camps strong, with three levels per camp (Smurf, Pee-Wee, and Midget.) The Richlands camps are the Blue Devils, Cowboys, Raiders, Tigers, and the Crimson Tide. The Tazewell camps are the Steelers and Chiefs. Twin Valley will be the Panthers. Honaker will field the Bengals and the Dolphins (I think.) The League is gearing up for its most exciting season ever!!!! It has affectionately been dubbed the Southwest Virginia Football League. old_school_blue 247 Author Report Share Posted July 16, 2007 Yes, four fields to work with. As far as the travel, maybe some of the parents can carpool.
BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted July 16, 2007 That is a lot of travel but think of the benefit down the road for the high schools involved.
