Deleted Account 5,203 Report Share Posted December 2, 2007 The Pittsburgh-West Virginia game is a little bit surprising. West Virginia's only on top 7-3 going into the half. Statistically, West Virginia has dominated this game, holding Pittsburgh to just 75 offensive yards. Pat Bostick has also been fairly abysmal, going 3-9, 18 yards, 2 INT. Pittsburgh should feel very, very good about themselves heading into the locker room. On the other side, West Virginia might be a little nervous... GHS06 10 Report Share Posted December 2, 2007 Big turn of events with Pitt up 10-7. Running Back had a spectacular run to make it 16-7, but Pitt got the nuts and bolts job and it was called back on a phantom hold. Pitt misses the field goal. Still 10-7. Huge momentum swing. Deleted Account 5,203 Report Share Posted December 2, 2007 Phantom call? In Morgantown? Of course not! Interesting indeed, going into the fourth quarter. As it stands now, the Mountaineers are one quarter away from the Orange Bowl!
Deleted Account 5,203 Report Share Posted December 2, 2007 This could be some of the WORST officiating I have seen in my 22 years on this Earth. An absolutely PHANTOM holding call on Pittsburgh, and then an uncalled West Virginia hold right in front of the referree. If West Virginia wins this game, it's most definitely tainted. GHS06 10 Report Share Posted December 2, 2007 The SECOND phantom call on the SAME guy on a huge play. Then the guy was held on the next play and no flag. Come on now...
