  1. Could not believe my eyes when I saw the teams they were playing this year, but also it is a step in the right direction for the football program at CC. To be honest I have no idea what the team is looking like this year, but hopefully good after looking at this schedule. Mt. Airy (hometown of Andy Griffith for anyone interested haha) has won a few state championships in NC the past few years for those of you who don't recognize that team.. but really the only easy game here is Grayson County not counting the scrimmage against Galax. Aug. 19 — Benefit game at Galax Aug. 26 — at Bassett Aug. 26 Sept. 2 — Mount Airy Sept. 9 — Christiansburg Sept. 23 — Grayson County Sept. 30 — at Martinsville Oct. 7 — at Abingdon Oct. 14 — Richlands Oct. 21 — Tazewell Oct. 28 — at Marion Nov. 5 — at Patrick
  2. Well I wish I had read pages 4,5,6 before I posted my comment above, I wouldn't have wasted my time... enjoyed getting a good laugh though from those pages
  3. If you have been swimming and waterskiing at the lake all summer I don't see how 2-3 hours in the morning a few days a week is really going to hurt your summer that much. The summer before my senior year I worked a sawmill job 8-10 hours a day, and there were more than a few times I had to attend the late afternoon workouts after a long days work. I had a couple cramps and some solid puking sessions that summer but I'm still alive...also waterskiing might help a small amount on building your strength but coaches want you doing workouts that are geared towards football strength and will help you do good on the field not in the lake... save the Whinen' and the Cheesin' at the lake for after workouts and the weekends and you won't die during two-a-days.
  4. Yea you can die from alcohol poisoning... have you ever heard of marijuana poisoning? because I sure haven't, that is all i was saying..
  5. If alcohol is legal then why not marijuana? I think that is the bottom line. Alcohol can kill a person.. marijuana cannot, so how can America encourage and advertise something such as alcohol that can easily kill someone and yet make something illegal (and spend millions of dollars enforcing the illegality of it) that could almost be considered less harmful than cigarrettes (not really sure what studies have shown on that, just what I have heard). And whoever said something about how marijuana could pay for the healthcare bill..pretty good point, the money has to come from somewhere. I'd be interested to know how much money the little country of The Netherlands makes from marijuana I bet it is a substantial amount. I'm not endorsing this but I mean the bottom line is alcohol is a more dangerous and destructive substance and yet it is legal.
  6. have not been on here in a very long time and I hate that this was the first thing that I saw..My prayers are with his family.
  7. Can you count cards..if so we need to go to vegas next weekend..wait next weekends no good for me the Jonas Brothers are in town.. how about the weekend after?
  8. always heard the only reason Carroll isn't in the piedmont already is because of 58...because of the mountain and buses going down that mountain all the time I don't think would be a good thing. I think football wouldn't be a problem because they would only have to travel about 3-4 times, however you must realize in sports like volleyball, basketball, baseball where it would be a twice a week trip almost and it would not be a safe thing on a regular basis. Idk what the truth is to that but I what I do know is that Carroll would not want to be in the River Ridge for very obvious reasons..
  9. Graham has had the advantage of playing CC the week after playing Richlands for the last couple of years.. I think it has def. showed some of the years, in 2005 after that heartbreaking loss to Richlands they were taken care of handily by graham the next week. Seems like that might've been what happened this week and CC just came out not wanting to play.
  10. I feel as if we have been over this many times...
  11. to add to what I just said CC didn't have any TD's called back you are right but the penalties they had definitely stalled drives..I'm not saying Carroll would've won this game because I think Richlands would've came out on top penalties or no penalties it just kills me when people talk down on teams that play Richlands close and say Richlands should've scored 40
  12. Nadoball is being (WATCH THE NAME CALLING!!!) about this..Take your Richlands beer goggles off man and wake up! Carroll caused the fumbles..it's part of the game those were big time plays by the kids..as for the penalties it was bad both ways. That Richlands punt return was directly set up by penalties never would've happened because Carroll would've scored on that drive or at least attempted a FG and it woulda been 13-0 going into the half..but it happened it's part of the game. Just pisses me off when people like you undermine a good game by Carroll and say Richlands should've put up 40 but they fumbled it.
  13. well the 3 may be the same transfers from WV i think? the same ones that are playing football that would make sense to me sounds like those kids are good athletes..also don't forget Gunner is back.
  14. they will not beat the yankees if they make it to the series that is.
