As I said another post, congrats to Bluefiled. Difference in the game was Bluefield captialized in most of JM's mistakes, and JM didn't do the same.

Turning point was in the 3rd quarter when Coach Nit-Witt decided to pass in 3rd & 2 near mid-field, Robertson was sacked, Bluefiled got a big play and the lead 3 plays later.

James Monroe went to the air way too much in the 2nd half, especially with our running game working pretty well.

I know it sounds like sour grapes, it's just beyond frustrating to see the guys battle through injuries and adversity all year, get to the big show, and be victimized by stupidity. Nothing's for sure, Bluefield may have won it some other way, but there's no question that our coaches put us in a bad position against a very dangerous team.

Also, I hope Keisel's alright, I know he looked pretty rough after that play on the botched punt. Hope it was nothing serious.

that same 'nit-wit' coach that puy you in the bad position against that dangerous team is the same coach who got your team to Wheeling in the first place....talk about ungrateful, some people are never satisfied! (except for for the Blfd team and fans..WE ARE SATISFIED !!)

I was at the game last night, but I just watched it tape delayed on Suddenlink and I have to say I kind of like what James Monroe tried last night. There were a few times I would've chose not to have attempted a pass (like in the 3rd quarter when it was 3rd down and short and James Monroe still had the lead) but it's easy to say that after the fact. Taylor had 3 of 5 completions in the 1st half with one going for a touchdown so I can understand why James Monroe continued to look for that part of the game. Bluefield broke it loose on a couple of big plays in the 3rd quarter which got them the points they needed to win, other than that, it was a good defensive game all night by the Mavs. It was late in the 3rd when Bluefield finally went ahead so all in all, a very good state championship showing for James Monroe and they stayed in it to the very end.

is this the same coach that made you believe that JM would win for sure and you had no doubts???

Its easy to sit back and blame people, but there is no need for it. Bluefield didnt play its best game (4 turnovers) and did not play like they had the 3 games before. But both teams played hard, played hard the whole season, and the better team won. They overcame adversity to get the win. Thats what Champions do, and thats what the Beavers are... 2007 AA STATE CHAMPIONS.
