BCRAM55 11 Report Share Posted March 9, 2008 I cannot believe that the Coach in the district pick Watts and Keene as CO Players of the year again. The Keene player is a solid player, but her team went 4-17 and finish last in the district. Unless she average 25 points a game with 10 rebounds and 6 assist she is not worthy of Player of the year. Before all you Richlands people start attacking go back and bring some stats to back-up your side. Jessie Watts team went 12-0 in the regular season. She lead her team in assist and steals, and was the second leading scorer by less than .5 point a game. She did and excellant job of running her team. Keene is a good player but not worthy of player of the year.
Grundy10 10 Report Share Posted March 9, 2008 Going 12-0 shouldnt mean that they just hand the trophy to the girl from CC. That's a TEAM accomplishment. MOP in the district is an INDIVIDUAL accomplishment, therefore has more emphasis on INDIVIDUAL performance. Not TEAM performance.

BCRAM55 11 Author Report Share Posted March 10, 2008 The award is call Player of the Year. Thier are two schools of thought. One that say the player of the year cames from the district champ and Jessie Watts was that this year for Carroll. The second school of thought is that a players is so outstanding that even though her team does not win the district she is clearly the best player in the league. She is a DI player with not alot of help. Is Keene this good?
