Who will earn BRAGGING RIGHTS THIS WEEKEND?

The first Annual BRAGGING RIGHTS COMPETITION will take place at TWIN VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL on May 31st 2008. All area football,basketball and baseball players are welcome to attend. There is a $15.00 entry fee for each participant, each participant will receive a T-Shirt.

 

EVENTS INCLUDE

 

Bench Press (185 lbs.) maximum reps

40 Yard Sprint

100 Yard Sprint

Farmers Carry (80 lb dumbells in each hand for fifty yards and back)

Tire Flip (flip a huge coal truck tire past the finish line)

Tire Toss (don't worry its not the same tire as above)

Truck Push (push a truck 40 yards)

Standing Broad Jump

Shuttle Run

Obstacle Course

 

Players may compete in all or as many events as they choose. Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each category.

 

Players can also earn team points for their school, the top 10 in each category will earn points for themselves as well as earning points for their school.

 

A TEAM AWARD will be given out at the end of the event recognizing the school with the most points. The winning school will receive a trophy and BRAGGING RIGHTS FOR 2008.

 

Individual awards will be given in each category for the top 3 competitors.

 

A hydration station will be available for FREE to all competitors.

So, Congratulations to the Twin Valley Panthers on winning the Team title at the First ever Bragging Rights Weekend!! I guess the other teams were a no show just like the Nature Boy Ric Flair!! Just food for thought, give more than a couple of weeks notice before you have it. However, I know they had to squeeze it between the 3 or 4 basketball camps they go to in June. Hope all is going well in Carolina.
