bluefieldRocks 14 Report Share Posted October 31, 2008 If he indeed goes to Clemson...Bye bye to all those great recruits they had coming to VT on defense.
GMan 3,569 Report Share Posted October 31, 2008 Most VT fans who are "in the know" already knew he was on Clemson's "short list"...

Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted October 31, 2008 Foster is the one coach, Beamer included, that VT cannot afford to lose. Foster's defenses have saved the pathetic offense and subpar special teams numerous times in the last five to six years.

wvuraiders 10 Report Share Posted November 4, 2008 I believe foster will only get the chance to be the head coach at VT...just something about the guy I believe only VT would give him an opportunity...He is a great Coach, However I would have to wonder about his public relation skills....however I may be wrong. rebel3 17 Report Share Posted November 5, 2008 VT could always hire Phil Fulmer to take Foster's place
Graham-VT Fan 46 Report Share Posted November 12, 2008 not saying he won't get a chance somewhere else, but it won't be at Clemson. He'll likely be back in B-burg next year, but the coaching carousel for this year isn't over yet so you can never tell for sure.

Big Orange 1 10 Report Share Posted November 12, 2008 Just kickin around a little smack talk guys. Coach Fulmer has done alot for TN, met him a few times and he is a class guy, and I wish him all the best no matter what he does. I've always said Bud Foster was one of the most underrated coaches, and I've wondered how some school has'nt nabbed him and made him a head coach. With all of the openings this year, I dont know if they'll be able to keep him in Blacksburg.
Deleted Account 5,203 Report Share Posted November 12, 2008 Coach Fulmer has done alot for TN, met him a few times and he is a class guy This is the first time I've ever seen "Fulmer" and "class" in the same sentence without being joined by "is not at all". Big Orange 1 10 Report Share Posted November 12, 2008 What did he ever do to anybody? He gave the better part of his life to Tennessee, be it as a coach and player. Took them to a level that Tennessee has not been at since the General Neyland days. Now his own success has come back to bite him.

Google Fulmer Cup, and you'll see why.
